DFW weather diversions 12/28

With the bad weather in DFW some out stations had some unusual equipment arriving today

STL had a 777 from MIA
MEM had a 767 from LGW
TUL had a 767 from ZRH

these are just a couple examples of the diversions today due to weather. There were plenty of other diversions, DFW was a mess today.

The local news here in Dallas said there were countless cancellations, and flight delays of up to 6 hours! Tornados touched down in communities near Dallas. A number of homes destroyed, but thankfully only minor injuries.

70+ diversions, numerous ramp closures totaling 5+ hours, lengthy ground stop that prevented the diversions from getting in, 2 rescue missions to LBB and TUL because the crews had timed out and local authorities would not allow the pax to deplane due no cust/immig.
