Dl Leaving Pwm?

TUL is the one that surprised me. I thought that DL was very strong in TUL. I thought that at one time that DL had 15 or so mainline flights in TUL. I could be wrong, I have been before. Just my thoughts..............

Back in the "good ol' days: 🙁

TUL-ATL x 4
TUL-DFW x 6
TUL-SLC x 3
TUL-LAX x 1
TUL-LAS x 1
TUL-OKC x 2
TUL-CVG x 4
TUL-ICT x 2

Or some schedule along those lines. 🙁

Now Wichita hs been added to the list. 🙁

Cutting flight to SLC & CVG.

Keeping 4 to ATL.

Next city?

<_< From someone how has been there! (exTWA) YOU CAN"T SHRINK YOURSELF INTO PROFITABLITY!!!!!!!

ICT had DL mainline? Or did RJs get cut?

I remember flying ICT-CVG in an RJ back when RJs were new and were used to open up new routes that were too long for props and too small for larger jets, back before RJs were used to replace mainline flights.

I wonder if that has something to do with the city of Wichita's subsidaries to AirTran and none for Delta...

ICT cutback has to do with the City of Wichita's continuing subsidies of AirTran. FL is receiving subsidies that allow them to price their fares at a loss and make up the difference with the subsidies. Delta receives no such kickback and so they are bailing on the market. I'm surprise Delta is still flying there at all.

I think the comments here are asking about pulling DL mainline from PWM and TUL, and replacing with Connection? Right?

I believe the spat with ICT involves pulling all DL/Connection service from ICT? Is that right? Thats a gutsy threat that is designed to get the FAA's attention on the ICT's apparently one-sided subsidy offer.

I live in Maine part of the year and used to non rev out of PWM. I say used to because AA (Eagle) pulled out of PWM last October. Now I will either have to take the bus or drive to BOS to catch a flight. BGR isn't an option because the flights are always full. On occasion I do take Delta out of PWM, but it wasn't mainline...it was Comair. I hate to think they will be pulling out too. Is it for sure???

I've heard that DL MAINLINE will be pulling out of PWM. DL will still offer service on DL Connection...

That sounds like an anti-trust violation to me....

Looks like PWM will be a Comair station. Just checked my company e-mail and several positions are being offered for PWM. Lead CSA, Station Mgr and etc.

Add Baton Rouge, La., and Tulsa, Okla .. Delta mainline is pulling out (except for "peak" travel months) & ASA/Comair are going in...
