DL moves BOM flight to ATL

Lets see Delta at JFK is loosing CDG, OTP, LGW now BOM but
gaining EZE.

Yes(of course) Delta is able to connect more of it's passengers through it's enormous Hub in ATL.
Watching(on a daily basis) NYC/MTA busses ply the streets of of the big apple with signs advertising Delta to be the # 1 carrier over the Atlantic, I'm puzzled as to why Delta would be dropping the JFK-CDG route, due to the fact that the Paris flight should be self sufficient on O+D traffic ?

Obviously Air France is carrying the most Parisians, but is American carrying that many More than Delta ?

The loads are still good but the yeild is down because of JET Airways start up. Plus many of the passengers continue on to ATL .This has been in the works for some time.( atl-bom) The reason for dropping jfk for now is due to the fact that the new 777,s that are coming at the end of the year are replacing 767ers and 767 -400,s that are getting the lie flat seat mods.

Thank you for that helpful information with regard to JFK-BOM.
But(again) I'm still puzzled about the scheduled (dis)continuation of JFK-CDG.
Being a member of both Sky Miles and AAdvantage, I watch the "goings on" intently at JFK.

Delta has significantly More flights to Europe from Kennedy than American, but i find it "interesting" that American sticks to the "basics"(Lhr-Cdg-Fra-Fco-Bru-Zrh?), while Delta seems more interested to a number of secondary European destinations.

Again, I don't equate the BOM flight being moved to Atl, as "telling", but the Cdg flight I DO find "telling".
Over time, should Delta drop(more of) the "basics"(from JFK), might that be a replay of the AA/DL war that DL succumbed to in Dfw ?

perhaps the poster was confused and referring to the Orly flights that Delta considered?

No confusion. Delta will discontinue jfk-CDG-JFK and Air France will add another flight.
One would think that Delta would be able to operate this route cheaper than Air France. I guess
not. The only explaination is that Delta is following where the most money is to be made. Africa/middle east.

I understand you clearly BABABOOY.(and of course Air France would be the very logical choice to "pick up the slack")
But in all honesty, "this"(to me) is starting to have a familiar feel ala Delta in Dfw, at least as it pertains to American forcing Delta out of the "Choice cuts" of the Jfk-European market.

I believe the reason with DL dumping JFK-CDG is, having to do with the JV with AF/DL.
