DL Private Jets to close N.C. facility

Looks like they're shuttering the Kinston N.C. facility, and will lay off 50 people as they consolidate the operation at CVG.

perhaps DL's move helps minimize the difficult in shutting down Comair. I believe DL private jets had its origins with Comair.

DeltaAirElite was part of OH, but this facility was aquired from Segrave to double the (by then renamed) PrivateJets operation...

thanks.... which does show that mergers do result in consolidation of facilities.... in this case, DL chose to consolidate in CVG. It would be interesting to know the reasons but I suspect that DL is able to reduce its exposure to unemployment for ex-OH employees by bringing jobs to CVG.
