Fleet/Mechanics have pushed hard to understand the Company' position on negotiations. Wrote and posted "US DAILY" hoping for a response.
Today the company Senior Manager for the West of the Mississippi/Hawaii makes a suprise visit outside.
She and Salisbury claim they have limited knowledge to proceedings. But she was involved with them in 2005 during US Bankruptsy contract. She says she has not gotten insite up to date. We hopefully, expect John Daily, Station Manager, to update in the next few days/weeks.
Also, are waiting thru international IAM Airline Coordinator, Tom Brickner' secretary Lisa Canning futher updates thru posting to Cannale and Tom Higganbothum 142/141.
So far for Phoenix the company has inlightened us and the IAM needs to get into the game. We are not our fathers generation of "Sheep". We want to know how to judge OUR future contributions. We don't get pensions and we have to save for our futures OUR WAY. So, lets get on. Inflation doesn't take a vacation. Neither do the insurance companies. So, NO! union or company holds us 100% dedicated. They need us more than we need them!

You are in a world of hurt. Don't be seduced by Paladini's looks - she's an old Al Crellin hand. Don't let her play dumb - she's not, and she's been at US for over ten years.

I invite you to look at page 94 of the 1999 fleet service sell-out agreement - there you will find Brickner's name attached.

At the very first meeting between IAM and fleet reps from every US station, Brickner tried to ramrod the meeting with no questions from the floor. When members threatened a riot, he allowed a few questions. Fleet was concerned they were going to be cannon fodder for the mechs, and insisted on a 'me-too' clause with mechs (just like the flight attendants had with the pilots)to protect their interests. Brickner said fleet didn't need one, and lo, they didn't get one.

Fast forward to 2005. Mechs retain their recall rights:fleet lost theirs. Wouldn't have happened if there'd been a me-too clause.

Reckon IAM knew all the way back then they would sell fleet out?
