Just wanted to let everyone that is interested know that Doug Parker will be on CNBC in about 1 min.

He needs to take some public speaking classes, still saying airlines should merge and become stronger.

Kinda hesitated when asked about the 787 order, said he would not confirm anything.

You cant blame him either though because if they did go with the 787 no one is going to confirm anything till US decided to do so. I did sound like Doug has a bit of a cold though.

Maybe it's a hangover

Did he talk about trash bags, scheduling bigger planes for non revs or that another big issue.... pie?

No! But I wish he would address it! I am not sure how much longer I can go on with these trash bags! And the pie! That is just so devastating! I better send him a follow up email...

At the next Crew News Session, I am going to inquire about possibly adding more flights back to PIT (because they were always full), and tell him how unfair it is that there are so many ads from Vegas in the magazine. That should waste about an hour and make us look really smart! It will really show him that we are truly interested in securing an industry leading contract, and will accept nothing less.

Please don't. 🙄 Just tell him everything's hunky dory and we're so busy with what we've already got.

Stroke his ego and say "Wow! You really right-sized PIT. It's just right!"

That way, I can enjoy the summer and get a really bitchin' tan while I lay out on a belt loader around the end on B-Con.

In PIT? Bitchin' tan? Well, you're right, I hear you can burn through several layers of clouds.... 😉

You don't even want FRA back?

Nope. Don't want FRA, don't want LGW, don't want CDG. Heck, I'm even tired of YYZ.

I want 10 CLT, 15 PHL, 7 PHX, 6 LAS and one DUJ. I want them all done on Shorts 360's with stopovers at Pilot or Flying J truckstops along the way.

Maybe west of C-Con...east might put us in the middle of somebody's airline operation. Anyway, E Gates are wide open for sunbathing and observing the daily habits of groundhogs.

Now, back to PIT. Does anyone on the board have information on what flights/destinations PIT Mainline and Express are supposed to pick up this summer? All sorts of rumors are flying that we might be getting cities back that we lost 2-3 years ago. Unfortunately, no one wants to be nailed down for a quote, which is understandable if they aren't even sure if their statements are 100% reliable.

And considering the workforce situation in PIT, especially inside, it seems like an impossibility that PIT would pick anything up in a substantial quantity.

Now, if SHARES was not a factor, I could honestly see a 50% increase in daily flights with a very modest increase in the workforce in PIT. But the likelyhood of that is very small. And Tempe will probably tout the "success" of SHARES based on the meager profit this past quarter. That success was, IMO, despite SHARES, not because of it.

I think the only reason US made a profit is because the employees did their best under crappy circumstances.

For any employees who want to view this mornings CNBC interview with Doug it is available on the hub/compass for viewing.

Now when I get my luggage lost going thru PIT, I can go tell them where to look for my luggage. Just make sure you wipe off the sun tan lotion off the bag please!

BTW, What do you mean Sunbathing at PIT? You mean the sun comes out there now? Sure Bill Cowler leaves and the sun comes out. No wonder he had that aweful grunt look on his face. 😎
