The terrorists are no more Muslim than the then people who shoot doctors who perform abortions or the people who burned witches, or the people who called the Native Americans Heathens ... etc. Religion in my opinion is essentially peaceful. There are portions of the bible that are violent. There are portions of the Torah are violent and there are portions of the Bible that are violent. The people who pervert the religion for their own gains are, in my opinion not being true to their religion.

Yes they are primitive. I define any nation governed by religion as primitive. They allow their country to be controlled by religious fanatics. Hopefully they will eventually out grow that as we did.

I never equated suffrage with terrorism. What I said was that it was not too long ago that the US was, to a degree, ruled by religious zealots who thought it was OK to deny blacks equal rights and that it was gods will. It was not too long ago that the US justified it's expansionism on 'divine destiny'.

From what I have read there are a growing number of moderates in the Arab nations who want to get rid of their radical governments. Unfortunately, the west keeps giving the radical governments fodder to stay in power.
