the company is losing valued Elite travelers to other companies. the competitors are matching our Elite traveler status if they can provide past travel statments and sign a guarantee that they will continue to fly so much for the next 2 years.this is nothing new as any airline would consider another airlines frequent flyer status. not used much but is being used now more than ever. Our frequent flyers are tired of hearing from Tempe... Im SORRY IM SORRY for the poor service we are providing you and ignoring you. the East frequent flyers need to be handled carefully. Also with DP telling the news media a couple of months ago "WE ARE RUNNING A SUBSTANDARD AIRLINE" doesnt have customers flocking to us
 
EXCUSE ME. ive been doing the airline thing for over 30 years. done it all. why is something so simple as what i mentioned that you need facts. it is happening . this has been something any frequent flyer can do and it is happening with US. it comes from the customer themselves around the system and their corporate big wigs. its called relaiability.


you responded about PM which i assume means Personal Message.. i dont do that kinda thing.. if you want to PM you are in the wrong site.. you need to go to the 1-900 line websites.. im sure they can help you out.
 
just got off the fone with res..2 X.
Could NOT get any flt info CORRECT,.
Res agent was telling about flt in the morn,and I just wanted to check fltfo.
I hung up called back, story I got was "we are some issues in phl!'--->translates to phl flow.

2 hrs past normal departure time, res gave me incorrect info-imagine that?

And I think longing4piedmont meant if you had some kind of insider info or contact name, but didn't want to post it here, then you could pm him/her.
I don't think he/she was looking for a date.
Really, PMs are quite common among msg board users.

It does seem like FF are beginning to leave.
At least the msg board Frequent Poster FFs are saying so.
Altho, from a weekly First Class FA perspective, the cabin is always full of them with lots more seated in coach and on the upgrade list.
So, I don't think its a critical situation yet.

Don't forget the 'everything counts' promotion where lots of folks qualified who weren't even frequent fliers.

It got them any status they were willing to pay for. If they ordered $5000 worth of flowers at 20 miles per dollar, they became CP.

There's also all of the people who got gold in error...people that flew zero, one, two, etc. flights last year and got a gold card in the mail.

Thank you for your post. You are correct-frequent fliers are leaving. For the most part they have had enough.

You are also correct that the other airlines smell blood. Our membership has received a number of offers from other airlines, and I am sorry to say that many of them are taking them.

The reasons are too numerous to mention-anyone who's been around for a while knows well what they are. And folks like me have stuck around through 2 BK's and numerous incompetent management groups, only to wind up with the best front line folks in the business, without the tools to do their jobs and without the respect of their management.

This looks like history getting ready to repeat itself (Eastern). When customers can no longer count on the airline to get from point A to point B reliably, it's time to move on.

And Informed1, you are seriously misinformed.

Oh and Avion, L4PI was just giving you an opportunity to provide source information off line--nothing more.

Thanks for all you have done for us in the past, and hopefully in the future.....if there is one........
