Along those lines, does anyone know how many agents actually will accept the early out? And a breakdown per office??

Ohhhh, the word I heard was that Lakefield was in CLT last week ,and said there was no $$$$ for EO's.

(PLEASE DO NOT USE LARGE FONT)

Ya mean some one actually believed there was $$$ for the EO? and that you're going to get it?

It was a dangling carrot to vote for that crappy @ss contract...

Yes, there is no money since the white coller idiots have it all!

OK Karl Marx..simmer down!

Dont't know about any news re the early outs, altho I would love to take it asap IF it is offered. In Intl RES today in INT, we had so many calls on hold that gen sales agents were helping with our calls, (service calls) and I believe they only had about 15 minutes training for it. Ofcourse, they had to xfer many calls. So, the point is, if a res office closes yet we have more calls on hold that can be answered already, how can an EO take be offered? I thougt GE had the money for the EO but I'll bet U will say that they are no longer in a position to offer anything............ samel ole s*&t

Once again where is the cwa with info....the stewards in the pit res office only speak to who they chose about info. We were told they were reviewing the packets on Monday there was a conference call and then we would recieve them.
Many folks are ready to go...

I heard the same. No money for early outs, wonder if this surprises anybody?

There are obviously a lot of questions today in reference to the Early-Out and on how the newly voted on agreement will be administratively rolled out. . Your Local is aggressively pursuing those answers. We anticipate the Early-Out application period to begin around the 15th of January and commence on or around the 28th of February.

Obviously, there will be a new bid for vacations going forward. Please remember that any vacation taken up to the new vacation bid and release will have an effect on pay-back to the Company, should you choose Early-Out, and are released and have not yet accrued these days.

Our goal is to be able to help in answering these questions, but remember, most of these issues are administrative issues that are governed by the company.

Please continue to check our website and daily bulletins put out by the Company.

Fraternally,

Becky

It would be good if the buyout option would allow the payment to be made into your existing 401k or into an IRA like a Roth IRA...That way it would be a payoff of the monies the company is not giving you for a retirement...And would save on deductions for taxes...differed until actual retirement...if you need to get another job now...

This is off the subject..

But, this union (CWA), has done what for the employees?

Before you open this up for discussion, they've done this and that, I know that, in the end it's the manager's discretion..

If I have my way, I'd start circulating a petition DE-CERTIFYING the CWA!

The thought has been going around for a few months now. Someone needs to start the process. Does any group really need a union now? Seems to just make paychecks smaller.
