Ok it's been 11 months since the launch of the ETC and we've heard nothing but excuses and lame answers to the fixes.

First it's the software
Then it's the server
Then it's the volume of employees using it.
Then it's the Shares migration
Then it's the volume of employees using it. (again)

And everytime the spin comes out as .... people are working feverishly to correct the glitches. Please be patient.

It is actually working really fast right now. Shh, uses it quickly and dont tell anyone

The ETC has been out longer than 11 months. More correctly it's been 11 months since AWA IT dept. has had their hands on it......

hence....

The thing is a piece of CRAP!!!!!!! Had to laugh as the ETC and the "minor" problems were addressed today on the Hub. All you have to do if having problems when logging on is dial the 800# like before hit prompt #2 and an agent will list you?????? Obvious they are talking out of their A** again as all weekend when trying to do just that, hitting propt #2 resulted in a busy signal!!!

Hey, that's an improvement! A couple of weeks ago, hitting 2 would dump you to option 1.

The link for the ETC is gone AGAIN!
I emailed the travel department to ask,"if we list by phone would we still be listed with 2007 seniority?". This is what they told us during the res changeover. Waiting for an answer.
I'd still like to know what commuters are doing to get to work...

Just got an email from the travel department about calling the travel line to make employee reservation.
First, it is no longer automated. Must speak to a res agent (???!!!). Second, your actual year of hire will appear now, instead of the 2007 when booked through a res agent.
The automatic 2007 was apparently just during the res migration. (hence, my concern as it appears to be ongoing  )

The ETC link is back up on the hub (for now), but it is moving V E R Y S L O W L Y.

Oh for pete's sake
Where is the freakin link to the ETC?
I have not seen it since the 22nd of March and intermittently before that.
'Bout ready to flip MY "not care switch".
(reference to another thread in which the "not care switch" was described. Emotionally detach from one's highly stressful surroundings).

Clipped, maybe refresh your browser.....It seemed to appear sometime last night, I know I was on it about 10pm, and there was definately some improvement on the speed of it. The link is up there now. don't know if it was up or down last night. Just checked it, and there's some pregnant pauses in the searches, but at least it's returning flights.

Seems if they are saying the server is getting overloaded, that someone went cheap (go figure) and looked at the average load and figured how much server space they needed. What they didn't plan on was taking down the 800 number and having those people that usually list via that, switched over to the ETC, hence increasing the load. Or even those that have nice agents that list them at their home airport. In addition, even after you list, you have to go back to the ETC and check in, hence increasing the load to double (as it now takes two sessions to list and check in) as opposed to just listing and being done with it. Sooooooooo more server space and resources might have helped??? dunno enough about it....

Thx Crzi,
I was trying to access the ETC from elsewhere within the hub. Guess you can't do that.... <_<
I logged out and back in then accessed it from the HUB home page instead. The link is there.
Wish they had just left well enough alone.

Encouraged by the speed once signed in, then got this response...
Unable to process PNR informatiom received from SHARES. Please try later.

When you take this tiny little facet of the operation and multiply it by 100's for every impediment to a smooth operation, imagine the frustration then resignation an employee feels.
I want to work for an airline that works (and not in spite of itself).

Its worthless!!!!! Its obvious the 150+ ITT professionals spent most of their time on the Sabre-Shares changeover and little time on the ETC........ 😛 What was the overall grade on the change over, B+??? Must be grading on a curve!!!!!

Really wish someone from Tempe would visit any East hub to see how poorly the system really works!! U has once again started that heading south!!!

Status Report March 24 700pm
System is unable to execute the command in SHARES

Yes, I am fairly focused on my inability to book a flight on the HUB, but I am tenacious.
At least the wording was different this time although the intent was clear, "although you work for an airline and travel bennies are about all you have left, we don't care. Why don't you just quit?"
