FA TA voted down

"IF" a merger is agreed to in the next little while...the AFA at US is finished. APFA will be the bargaining agent for the new AA,the current US F/A's concerns will be of little importance to the majority at AA.

We can all argue til the cows come home and it will not change things one iota. History will show that the most recent failed agreement was the US F/As last best chance to have a say in how things were going to go in a merger. By the time "Single carrier Status" is achieved, how much time will have elapsed? What amazes me is how many college educated, pedigreed, "A" list, smart, pretty F/As US seems to have that cannot grasp just how important the "Time Value of Money" concept is to the general financial well being of folks. I think the PHX F/As are just grasping the facts that they are the most harmed in the current scenario. How sad to have come this far only to have union politics at AFA litterally take food off the family table and deliver doubts about just where they will be placed in the event of a merger.

So, the real rub here is IMHO that there should be no merger with AA because at this point if it occurs it will grievoulsly harm the immediate financial concerns of the US F/As. The failed agreemant was going to be the catalyst to bridge over into a merger, now that it has failed that bridge becomes a canyon which most US folks cannot afford to bridge. A merger would only benefit the F/As at AA, because the smart well educated FA's at US cannot see the forest for the trees.

After a lenghty recess and scrubbed merger with AA maybe the US F/A's will finally have had enough with the concessionary contract and vote one in that will provide a little financial relief. Only it will still be less than what could have been possible with a merger with AA. The whole situation just stinks.

If the AFA leadership and the membership don't get a collective clue soon they are going to be swept up in events they have no control over.

You can go on and on about how the majority voted down the TA twice all you want. It doesn't change the 'evil' and selfish intent...deliberate decision made to keep the quality of many fas lives in a state of misery. You go on as though a majority decision is right. This 'well everyone else is doing it so it must be right' is the strip mall mentality that pervades this planet.

At some point in your life I hope you are able to evolve and mature. There are many, many scientists, doctors and independent researchers such as myself who know that harmful actions such as this vote hurt everyone. Life is is not about being the best or winning it is about being self aware. The majority of this planet are classified as useless breeders and eaters anyway.

There is an almost endless volume of literature extolling the virtues of lending a hand to your fellow man...you may know "A Christmas Carol"...remember it well, there were spiritual consequences to this vote. You can laugh and scoff it off all you want, that's just your foolish pride and ignorance showing. I truly feel so sorry for you as a catalyst for no votes and the others who actually voted no. Try to remember, that this strength of a majority that you keep trumpeting around is meaningless, when in the end it is you alone that must answer to and relive the pain and suffering your choices have had upon others. To make it even clearer, a person either voted to keep people suffering or not. You either hurt others by keeping them impoverished among other things or you helped yourself by keeping things status quo because your ego couldn't handle it and/or because you're comfort level would be impinged upon.

I have no friends past or present in U managment. I was probably the most hated union rep in labor's history at US Airways by managment. When I put in for the FVLR in 2005, I was told managment cheered and celebrated when they got the fax.

No one removed me from any post I ever held.

Get your facts straight. You shouldn't be so initmidated by my presents on this board that you have to go and lie about what you think you can pass off as true.

All I will say is that a certain executive that I had cultivated a relationship with held one Teddy Xidas in complete contempt. Once he went as far as stating, "Teddy Xidas has the ability to close the doors at US Airways PERMANENTLY" My contact got pissed off at me because I woundn't go far enough in our debates on this forum.

If TX died tomorrow there would be a bunch former and present US executives lined up to piss on her grave. She had them crapping their collective pants more then once. I saw it in their eyes the few times I spoke face to face.

When Teddy & I went to visit Greentree they went batshit not because I was there as part of FFOCUS to deliver some candy but because she was with me. Don't believe me? Ask the security guard who almost got fired.

The AFA could do a hell of a lot worse (and has IMO) then have Teddy lead the charge.

If you had half a clue and saw/heard what was being offered in the way of concessions that Teddy said "NO" to.you'd be singing a different tune. Were concession made? Of course. I'm no expert but from where I sit the F/A group lost the least and that was Teddy's doing.
