Fashion Police at WN

Was her myspace page traveling on SWA? Does SWA screen myspace pages prior to selling tickets? She was dressed more appropriately than the majority of the average pax. If she was so poorly attired then why the apology from SWA???????????? Is it true that SWA is just a group of media whores that will use a passengers plight to try and earn a buck?

Again her MYSPACE page was not at issue during her travels. It is just easier for you clowns to try and paint her in an unflattering light to try and make you feel better about f-ing up the handling of this. I am sure rape victims were asking for it in your mind if they were wearing anything other than a burkah?

It all goes back to something folks with common sense learned back in grade school... "people living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones". And while that MYSPACE page may not have been an issue during Kyla's travels, it's out there (and it's now common knowledge that it's out there) and don't think for a minute that SWA's lawyers wouldn't use it as a means to discredit her.

You can call Kyla Ebbert a lot of things but naïve is not one of them. The Hooters waitress has turned a controversy from Southwest Airlines into a sweet deal from Playboy Magazine. The bleach blonde well endowed college student fro San Diego first made headlines after she was nearly grounded from a Southwest flight earlier this year.

I'm shocked....SHOCKED!!! :glare:

...almost too predictable.

mags,
More to "The Skinny",
My best friend of 20 years and I had a "falling out" (thanks to his wife) about 13 months ago. We "made up" about three weeks ago. During our conversation he asked if I rememberd Kyla. Yes, I work for WN and have been proud of that fact for over 17 years! It then dawned on me! Kyla is (by marriage) his niece! I met her at her home at a july 4th BBQ hosted by her former SEAL Dad when she was like 13 or so and again in Phoenix for Thanksgiving when she was 17 or so. She is "intouch" with my buddy on a regular basis and has asked his advice over her own aunt's. He has told her that "If you can sleep at night, then go for the money; but you have deeply embarassed your family". She also has flown WN almost every weekend to Vegas for a great number of months and she isn't gambling. Oh! What a shocker that she is now on Playboy.com http://www.buck1690.com/Kyla-Ebbert/ . I don't care how she decides to proceed, although I could guess. She is pretty hot, but not even close to a victim!! I know her Dad and the rest of her immediate family. They are not happy.

p.s. She wasn't wearing her outfit the same as you have seen. Top was cleavage to the nips ( breasts swolen due to very recent implants) and bare midriff and or cheeks/the lower yard's landscaping, depending on pulling the microskirt up or down.
p.p.s. The complaints, once again, were made by other pax prior to boarding in SAN. I wouldn't have minded at all but it wasn't a hooters' and or female escort charter flight. Family atmosphere!

I did not know where to post this one. It should really go on the US board since I was flying US but they are not discussing dress codes at this time so I thought maybe I would put it here since maybe we could discus would WN have denied this guy boarding or not?

True story- On my flight home from STL to CLT there was a guy wearing a shirt that said
"I (heart symbol) vaginas" which I thought was crude and I thought what a douche but hey he can wear the shirt and I was curious to see if he would be boarded or not. I actually thought by his demeanor that he might have worn the shirt just to see if he would be asked to change it. It's just the society that we live in today, people want to try to have a reason to sue a company and I thought he might be trying something like that.

I personally being a woman did not say anything and only would have refused to sit next to the guy cause he looked creepy and the t-shirt raised the creep factor by a multiplication factor of 10 but I would have been very discreet and just would have asked for them to move me because I am very nonconfrontational. But in the end nobody said anything and the flight boarded, left and arrived without problem.

What I am queationing is this.... had a woman wore a shirt that said " I (heart) penis " or **gasp** a man worn a similar shirt would he have been allowed to board? Had a woman worn a shirt identical to the one the man I saw wearing would she have been allowed to wear it? At what point does just bad taste become offensive and when does it exceed free speach? If we are all a captive audience and forced to sit next to people that we really don't know it makes it easier if they are not wearing things that might push our emotional buttons, Maybe free speach on a plane should be limited since the audience is not able to walk away?

Just trying to get the conversation going again and back on track about dress codes on planes?
So to sum it up....I think a basic form of a dress code should be in place.....Since a plane is inherintly a captured audience I think free speach rights should not apply there like they do on the greound since the theory is loosly based around on the ground that if you don't like what you are seeing or hearing that you can walk away. You can't do that to the same extent on an aircraft if the plane is full and people are refusing to change seats and the airline is wanting to depart on time and does not want to shuffle people around or else take on a delay.
