over the weekend a sitting democratic senator said the treasury dept couldn't print enough money to do it

Clearly, picking the "better bad choice" hasn't worked out to well for the working class. But, those blinders seem to be coming off more and more.

 
Except there's one party that always looks to career politicians and government for help or answers.
When they deliver and things go bad (as they typically do) then they repeat the process wanting them to help to fix the problem they created in the first place.
