I have visited Communist block countries back in the 70s. Russian communism is different from China's. Since Russia allegedly fell, there are no longer countries that practice true socialism. China is also, secretly, embracing capitalism.
But for the sake of argument, lets say that mother Russia was still in it's glory. In communist countries, the government would supply all your needs(food, clothing, shelter), and of course they were a low income(best I can describe it) fullfillment of needs. Sneakers, jeans, nylon stockings, lingerie, would cost you over $200 back in the 70s. That's why we were told that if you take these on a trip, for what it was worth, you could enjoy the company of the best looking...if you get my drift 😉
Without the Russian Cold War-type of socialism, it is pretty much a capitalism version.
