It's very sad because if the TWU strikes, AA is going to replace them anyways. The T/A already replaces 2/3 as it is....... Caught between a rock and a hard place ,IMO.

Yes it is sad for all of us..One way or another AA will get what it wants....With or without a fight..
I know I am going to upset a few people, but I have to wonder where were all my fleet service brothers when they took away deicing and pushbacks from aircraft mechanics....I guess it was ok for mechanics ranks to be thinned out, but no one elses...?
Ohhhhh I think I know why........Those former M&E finctions were not outsourced, just handed over to fellow union brothers!

Yes Hopeful, us fleet service brothers banded together and demanded we get deicing and pushbacks or else. We fought hard to steal it away
and we won't give it back without a fight. Geez....maybe you guys can break away from us since we are a drag on your pay. Oh that's right, you already did. 🙄

Sorry to hurt your feelings. We had to break away from you because your ranks outnumbered us substantially. I got tired of the masses electing cabin service local presidents who preached to us lowly mechanics that "a half of loaf is better than no loaf."
And no, you guys did NOT fight to steal our work, but typical TWU leadership at AA was fleet controlled.. I don't recall any of them telling the company NO TO LOSS OF MECHANICS WORK..
Sorry, facts are facts.
The sad thing is, we might one day see SWISSPORT pushing and decicing AA aircraft....And yes,,even fixing em! None of us are exempt!
Now all we need to do is break away from Tulsa......and we'll be set!! :huh: :huh:
I feel very sad for all the people in fleet.
I do not think they have much levarege
against the company. Where are they going
to get a job that in today world is still a somewhat
decent job. But the decisions is for them to make.

Not likely, its not that easy to find 26000 people with clear verifiable backrounds that know how to do all the things that need to be done to keep an airline going. When Fleet rejects the deal they can join up with Maintenence, Stores and Sim Tech as we push for release.

Isn't that just what maintenance disageed with, when they went to seperate negotiations?
Hopefully the FAs and Pilots will join in as well. The company wants to screw everyone so despite making our own deals that doesnt mean we can support each other.
