Someone over at airliners.net posted the folllowing, showing departures by fleet type for each US hub. Sad to see the ratio of express to M/L, but nothing new there. Really thought PHL had more mainline.

The numbers dont add up, US has nine A330-300s and the flights only show five in service and there are seven A330-200s and only showing six flying.

Must be fuzzy math. I wonder what other numbers are wrong?

PHL-TLV uses 2 332's on the route so that is the extra one.

That person either made their counts before the schedule was updated or doesn't know how to add.

It is still two aircraft involved in one flight, two movements, what about the four missing A330-300s, you seem to keep ignoring that.

First, I haven't said anything about the -300s. I didn't make up the lists, so don't get after me for that. Second, if one aircraft departs to TLV today, the 24th, it doesn't come back until the morning of the 26th. There will be six A332s departing on one day while the seventh resides in TLV. That one frame is only operating to TLV every other day, so you need a second aircraft to fill in for the rest. The counts are for one day, April 14th, which is mentioned in the Airliners post. Does that make sense now?

Then it should show two planes, where are the four missing A330-300s?

Who ever made the list, doesnt know what they are doing.
Trying to figure it out can be confusing and time consuming. There has to be mistakes in the a.net info, how in the heck does one do this just looking at schedules. Maybe certain days there are different types, such as the 319-320-321's. Any of those could be switched off on any day, as for the widebodies, there are not that many to keep up with so it shouldn't be that difficult but I do not have the time to figure that out. Plus aren't there days when a flight doesn't operate?

I may suck at math, but according to my calculator that adds to 29, not 35. Whoever made this list needs to go back to 2nd grade and learn how to count apples and oranges again. Offhand I don't know how many RJs we have here, that might be the problem.

I didn't make 'em either, but there are hub lists for AS, AC, DL, US, and AA on there right now. I think (?) one person mentioned downloading each carrier's timetable of the 'net, and then plugging them into an excel sheet. The math may be off, but they're still an interesting read...
