AFA spokesperson Rick Thornton said how much notice will be given in e-mail warnings varies on the situation. For instance, he said if attendants plan to delay service on a flight, an e-mail will be sent one hour before boarding or departure. If a massive system-wide strike is planned, subscribers would likely get a four-hour notice, he said. However, if attendants plan to simply strike for a single flight, Thornton said people may get "not much or any" notice.
