Glenn Tilton is Frank Lorenzo all over again. He is destroying the standard of living for all airline employees while sticking more money in his pocket.
Unfortunately, the labor unions leaders have gotten use to their high salaries and generous expense accounts are are not willing to risk them for the rank and file worker having better wages and benefits.
All they want is union dues collected monthly at any cost to support their corporation.

One thing he is not, is a Jack Welch. At least Jack leaned out the whole company, not just the workers. I feel cutting all aspects of a company while in bankruptcy will make the difference between a company that survives, and one that does not. Looks like Tilton is positioning for some sort of merger, or buyout, or investment from a star alliance partner? <_<

I think the company will be sold in pieces. Who knows where or to who. Jane Allen gave a hint of this last week. When asked if the Pacific routes were going to be sold her reply was, there are no plans to sell our most profitable routes but anything is possible.

I hope the juge takes away tilton's pension as well.

"there are no plans to sell our most profitable routes but anything is possible" That's what Pan Am told it's employees about the Pacific Div....The Inter-Continental Hotel chain...The Pan Am Building. They're all liars. Their ONLY interest is to protect their own personal kitty bank. You would see a WHOLE different beast if their pensions and pay were on the line. CEO pay is up 10% yoy...average take home (including options) US$10 MILLION!

I heard that Tilton's compensation package totalled over $1,200,000 last year. Any truth to this? Maybe CEOs (Tilton) of money losing companies (UAL) should not be allowed to make more than CEOs of profitable airlies (SWA).

Jane Allen. She's a beauty too. Jumped ship at AA for a real lucrative package at UAL. She'll probably walk away from the corporate wreckage real pretty too.
