Good Day

US Airways operated 99.9 percent of its flights yesterday, canceling just one flight. US Airways also was above goal with 73.1 percent of all flights departing on time (S:00) and 84.1 percent leaving the gate within five minutes of scheduled departure (S:05). We hit our arrival goal on the nose, with 84 percent of all flights arriving within 14 minutes of scheduled arrival time (S:14).

MidAtlantic also had a good day, with 100 percent of its departures completed yesterday.
This marks 13 days during the month of April on which MidAtlantic has operated all of its flights.

:)

Now everyone come on and make it into a bad thing.

Just got in from a 4 day and went through KPHL several times---it ran like a champ--and has for last couple weeks.

I have to say I have also seen a big improvement in PHL, my last few trips have been good parkers always there and also a jetway operator. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know how much of the baggage problem has to do with the minimum connecting times we now have. CLT has quite a few flights at only 30 mins for mainline and also minimum for Express. If you are 5 or 10 mins late, the customers can make it, but not sure about the bags with the staffing levels still in place. I know its hard enough to unload a full 757 in 15 mins let alone separate and transfer all the bags in 30 mins total time. It would be interesting to see a breakdown on reasons for baggage missing. Weight/balance, International clearance in CLT and PHL, late conx, ftb, etc....

Excellent completion rates will hopefully allow US to fetch more cash for MidAtlantic! Come on everyone, ramp up your efforts over at MDA to make more money for the mainline when we sell y'all down the rive....oh, and don't let the door hit you on the way out!

*sarcasm off*

You guys at MDA do a bang up job....it sickens me to think about how you are being treated. These mini-Fokkers should have been staffed/flown by mainline PERIOD. Honestly, how much savings was there in making this a sperate division with seperate admin, VPs, etc vs. paying all of the recalled MDA employees the re-negotiated mainline payrates?
