Government is Good

When you offer something of substance, I will reply.

You have offered one post:

The above did not add anything to the topic, other than attack the thread and use childish names. What part of the thread did you try and respond to? If you do not like the topic, you have the right to refrain from posting.

Now I will ask you; did you take the quiz (bye the way, that was the original post question)?

Tell me what part of government you are willing to give up.

As a F/A, are you willing to give up the FAA, which certifies you to be able to one? Why not start there?

Let anyone who the airline deems qualified to be a F/A.

What do you think your pay would be???
WOW!
I did not attack anything. I responded to typical Left Wing hype, which is what you bloggers are trying to perfect   , but, get irritated when regular, everyday Americans speak out. You are all making yourselves a laughing stock of the USA!
#1: I started the quiz, and stopped after the first few slanted questions. YOU are are a LEFT WING Blogger who must go from forum to forum with your beliefs
#2:Not a F/A
#3: I know more about the FAA than you could imagine....... Does the preverbial "foot-in-mouth" ring a bell?
#4: No, the FAA has a definate purpose, albeit a very obstructionist agency. The NTSB would be more to my liking as far as oversight of the aviation industry.
#5: You are a classic. I'll give you that  Trust me. You want to bring a topic of "Good Government". Stick to something you may really have knowledge about. Aviation?........Myself, and too many other people on this forum know all too well.

#6: Try that for substance........PAL........

GOOD DAY!!

#3: I know more about the FAA than you could imagine.......
That is the most laughable post ever.

I guess my 20 years in the airline industry, before going to my current job does not count towards aviation knowledge.

Now, how about answering my earlier questions.

Did you read my WHOLE post?? I replied.

You are clueless and OFF topic on YOUR thread.........AGAIN

Since this is the water cooler & I'm in a good mood, I'm cutting some slack. But the personal attacks stop NOW.

Next one gets a vacation.

Thought i'd chime in with my two cents ...

yo fission i used to do speech and debate ...

so it's obvious to me that your not really answering tech's questions ...

As for goverment being good , i don't even need to think about that one ! we've got a great goverment , look at how far our nation has come in such a short time ... we came this far because we came together E PLURBS UNIUM!!!!

A typical day in life:

6:30 a.m. You are awakened by your clock radio and listen for a few minutes to the news before getting up. But you can listen to your favorite station only because the Federal Communications Commission brings organization and coherence to our vast telecommunications system. It ensures, for example, that radio stations do not overlap and that stations signals are not interfered with by the numerous other devices – cell phones, satellite television, wireless computers, etc. – whose signals crowd our nation’s airwaves.

Government is Good.......

According to liberal nut balls, elderly people whose tax paying years have passed, but whom receive Social Security and Medicare benefits, should be covered under single-payer socialized medicine of the type that will thin out their numbers by offering inferior services, long delays, and other problems common in nations like Canada and Great Britain.

Opinion.......pretty spot on....

You mean this FCC :

"Mark Lloyd, newly appointed Chief Diversity Officer (CZAR) of the Federal Communications Commission, has called for making private broadcasting companies pay licensing fees equal to their total operating costs to allow public broadcasting outlets to spend the same on their operations as the private companies do."

http://hotair.com/archives/2009/08/14/fair...diversity-czar/

Yeah..............don't worry about Big Brother running you life..........................right !

Again, "Taking from the ones who have "EARNED" it and giving it to the people who have not !"

and whats with all these czars. Are we a Russia wannabe? I know we have had them before, but not to this extent. Van Jones, our Green Jobs czar, said in an interview that he was a communist. This is from wikipedia for what its worth.

Speaking to the East Bay Express, Jones said he first became radicalized in the wake of the 1992 Rodney King riots.

"I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.' I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary. I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th. By August, I was a communist."

Looks like those right wing extremist democrats, republicans and independents scared Congress and Obama back into reality.

Long live the Tea Parties!!

WASHINGTON – Bowing to Republican pressure and an uneasy public, President Barack Obama's administration signaled Sunday it is ready to abandon the idea of giving Americans the option of government-run insurance as part of a new health care system.

Facing mounting opposition to the overhaul, administration officials left open the chance for a compromise with Republicans that would include health insurance cooperatives instead of a government-run plan. Such a concession probably would enrage Obama's liberal supporters but could deliver a much-needed victory on a top domestic priority opposed by GOP lawmakers.

God Bless town hall meetings.....

Notice Arlen fails to see that a rather large portion of America is upset.

SPECTER: A variety of factors, Jake. I think people are very nervous because so many have lost their jobs, and I think that the uncertainty of the health care bill -- remember, we don't have one in the Senate yet, and none has come to the House floor, but I think we have to bear in mind that, although those people need to be heard and have a right to be heard, that they're not really representative of America, in -- in my opinion.

Happy retirement Arlen.....

Government is good until its not. Look at the SEC as an example, A heavily regulated oversight commission to insure proper wall street practices. Even when presented with factual data that people are being scammed (Maddoff) they do nothing.

Another example is Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, a highly regulated gov run/subsidized institutions that imploded even when warning signs and alarms were sounded.

And lets not even talk about the Post Office, even Obama threw them under the bus as a shining example of inefficiency.

Kind of nice to see democracy work isn't it?

It appears that the overwhelming majority of the population has told Washington that they can't organize a one car funeral much less operate 1/7th of the US economy.

Be careful, it could be that this is a ploy to get people to quit voicing their opinions. Especially if the silent majority thinks they have made their point and are getting their way. I don't believe they will quit trying to push health care. I think they might try another approach.

I expect some diversion on another bill then after its been changed at committee then to the floor then back into committee...slipped in then sent for a final floor vote.

More gov waste....

Classic Video: The Million-Dollar Outhouse

Heading to a national park this holiday weekend? As I reported before, if you go to the right one, you may have the privilege of using a million-dollar outhouse.

In Pennsylvania, the National Park Service built a one-seater outhouse that looks more like a chalet than a toilet.

Paid for by the tax payers
