Isn't November and December supposed to be profitable months?

What a video.. Typical Delta always up there own arses,it was great to see U.S attempt a bid, at least we can always say to there snotty nose employees that there lucky to be still out on there own there or not in Chap 7....Rally on Muppets!!

Interesting video. Sad thing is as the employees all come together to drink their koolaid the management is trying to figure out how much more they can get out of them to keep Delta their Delta.

Ssssshhhhhh, don't tell them tahitigirl, they still haven't figured it out yet. They really think Gerry's on their side.

My nephew told me today he was waiting for the hotel van and two Deltoid pilots were there waiting also. He said "hi how you guys doing" and they wouldn't even acknowledge him. He then said "Happy New Year" to them as they were getting on the van and still no reply.

The arrogance of these two Delta pilots was only superseded by their lack of common courtesy and character as a human beings.

The feelings mutual. You can keep your filthy Airbuses with no satellite tv. Your hubs suck as well. And this says nothing of the fact that your cheap ass boss has managed to fit an extra 2 rows of seats in your 757's compared to ours. Keep US scare your US scare.

How about some buttons that say

Make belta my ####

I would first of all like to say I hope that no matter the outcome we will all be doing well. I also hope that no matter what happens that we have a job, and we keep paying our house payments and car payments and keep investing, etc..... yada.yada.yada...

However I would like to say I am very offended at the lack of common respect by some DELTA AIRLINES (employees). I would like to say: Why are you throwing insults and rude comments out on the message boards, hotel vans, hotels, airports, and etc.
I have heard rude comments from flight attendants in three languages about my uniform, company, and overall personal performance of my job.

I for one have never said anything bad about any DELTA Airlines. Yet, Time and Time again. I see many Delta Employees speaking harshly toward my company (US AIRWAYS). I am proud of US Airways just as you are proud of DELTA. . US Airways is not perfect but, in reality neither is DELTA Airlines.

I find it very rude and very wrong to write and speak of insults about my job, my airline, and my choice of work. We are no different. I am a American working for a airline just like you.

I for one have flown DELTA Airlines many times. I am a FF flyer with DELTA Airlines. I grew up in ATLANTA and lived in ATLANTA all my life. I still commute from ATLANTA quite a lot. However, this talk of merger has brought some very harsh comments from Delta Employees toward me commuting to work.

We are still the same worker, employee, etc.
Do we not work in the same jobs?
Do we not still love people and travel?
Do we still not love the excitement of working with a vast group of backgrounds, and cultures?
Do we not enjoy our days off to Non-Revenue Travel?
Do we not pay the same taxes, bills, and live the same kind of lifestyles?

I for one am ashamed of some of the very co workers of this American airline industry. A industry only a few years ago after 9/11 we were supporting each other, holding hands, crying on each others shoulders.

I am not talking about every Delta Employee; However, It is a shame that a few must post insulting remarks to state a point of intolerance.

-US AIRWAYS FA
Sthrnboy.

It is YOUR company attempting a hostile act toward Delta and its employees, and you want a hug and a thank you?
As for harsh/rude comments, take a read through pretty much everything being posted on the DL board by US people.

It's business, man. Nothing to do with the employees. It will still be called Delta, so relax.

Employees from both airlines have been rude on here. Remember, this board represents a very very small portion of US/DL employees. Just a thought....

Life's too short......... 😉

MMB, what you have to remember is..."The LCC employees have and had NOTHING to to with the act of taking over Delta. The morning of Novemeber 15 they were just as shocked as you were. If you want to be mad at anyone, be upset at the management of LCC in Tempe, not the people in the vans, hotels or simply trying to commute to work. The people at LCC didn't start to throw back harsh comments as you say is happeneing on the US Airways board until they were attacked via comments within this message forum. I think if you went WAY back and looked at the comments on the Delta board starting on the 15th of Novemeber about 0600, you'll see the slanderish comments beginning, and that would be expected initially but not now after realizing who is REALLY the cause of this.

REMEMBER, the people at LCC have/had NOTHING to do with this situation. What the employees do have to remember is that Delta is in bankruptcy and as in ANY industry in America when any company enters into bankruptcy they are in the corporate world a "sitting duck or in the barrel" and open bait for others to do what LCC is doing. If you want to be upset at anybody, you should be having rah-rah rallys upset at Delta "former" management for acting so SLOW, bleeding millions per day "putting" Delta into this position to enter banruptcy where it would by under the corporate microscope by it's competitors. Delta does and wants to compare itself to American, well American Airlines management acted quick enough and did enough changes to steer AMR away from BK, yes they were close but didn't declare. Folks at Delta, all of you again be upset and mad at your former management for putting Delta into play initially, if you were'nt in bankruptcy today we wouldn't even be having this conversation. So rather then wasteing your time handing out buttons and working on websites against LCC, why don't you have another rah-rah rally but rather then putting Parkers picture up on the background put Leo's up there...he put ALL of you in this situation, not LCC or even your hated Doug Parker. After all Leo is the one that said the plan was to wait until US Airways goes out of business when ask what his recovery plan was.

In ending this, remember you fine folks at DAL, the LCC employees have NOTHING to do with this...DAL former management put you here and in this uncomfortable position. We are all professional, do the same job, yes we wear different uniforms and have different thoughts about how we do and perform our duties but in the end....I hate to break it to you...we are all the same!!

I'm sure everyday Leo is looking at this and thinking, "Boy look what I started letting them(Delta) to get into this mess. I should have done things QUICKER and had a better plan rather then waiting for other carriers to simply go away"!!

Remember, if Delta had NOT entered bankruptcy, they would NOT be in this situation, PERIOD!!

Maybe the new and improved buttons should say

"THANKS LEO...NOW LOOK"

So if the DL board of directors had given its blessing to LCC's overtures (thus making it not "hostile"), you would magically change your attitude towards USAirways and be welcoming the situation with open arms?

Is that the Deltiod mentality? Wait for instructions from HQ on how to feel about certain things?

The way front-line DL employees have been reacting to this is beyond bizarre. It's a business transaction. The description of this as "hostile" is no more than a technical business term. Taking it as a personal affront is just weird. The DL (and LCC) employees here are just pawns in a huge game. DL is bankrupt; the front-line employees are in a precarious situation and have equal chances of getting screwed no matter what happens with this transaction. Letting yourselves be manipulated into a frenzy by the orchestrations of those at the top for their own gain is pathetic.

Either DL management is brilliant, or front-line DL employees are even more gullible than I had thought. DL management (with LCC management's unwitting help) has managed to create a scapegoat so now no matter what happens with the rest of DL's bankruptcy, they can point fingers at evil USAirways as the source of all of DL's problems, conveniently taking attention away from the mismanagement that got DL into Ch.11 in the first place. Nice move.

"Beyond bizarre"? I don't think so.
Why is it so difficult for US Airways employees to understand that the DL employees are concerend about self preservation? It has nothing to do with DL employees looking down on US, but it does have everything to do with DL employees not buying into Parker's assertion that nobody will be laid off. Too many here are proclaiming otherwise. How many US employees would support this merger if they believed their job would be lost as a result?
