Health Care

Regulating it like they have always done..

Only this law lets them get a little piece of the action and that will increase over time!

Any money collected from the act goes into the pool to provide cost effective insurance.

Read the act and learn about it, stop going off of Ted Cruz and his gang of thieves.

What is wrong with making healthcare affordable for all?

So CNN is wrong and you provide no facts at all to back up your statement?

So 50 million out of 300 million is 15%?

Are you using Bush's fuzzy math?

I have seen people on here call you a liar and if you say you have read and understand this then I agree with them!

Hey 700 where did you go? I just want some answers since you are so well informed..

Why does our law look like this
http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/PLAW-111publ148/pdf/PLAW-111publ148.pdf

And Canada's looks like this

Looks like the Government wants a LOT of control over our healthcare!

Ms.Tree, ------- You've been drinking too much of Obama's cool aid!

Because the bill says you are incorrect regarding the Congress exemptions I am the one who is drinking? Because the 3.8% tax does not apply to the average (much less well above average) but only to the top 5% (if that much) of the people I am the ones who is drinking? Because the GOP has not come up with squat over the last 20+ years to overhaul the health care system in this country I am the one who is drinking?

~sigh~

The effects will trickle down to all, we are already seeing it. I agree there needs to be overhaul to healthcare but this nonsense they are implementing is not going to work. First off no one understands what *exactly* this entails requiring armies of consultants, compliance officials, and attorneys. Companies are deferring hiring and expansion for this reason too.

The tax is on unearned passive income such as capital gains, dividends, income from rental properties, etc for individuals making in excess of $200k and families over $250k, and that is only where they are starting from. I fully expect those thresholds to come down and more income streams captured under the tax over time. Excessive taxes penalize investment and innovation and everyone will ultimately pay the price.

I'm sorry Ms.Tree, but when the Government picks up the tab for Congress, and their staff, and the average man is mandated by law, to pay full fare, I call that a free pass!-------- What would you call it?

Ms Tree, you complain that the GOP hasn't come up with "Squat" for a health care plan? ------ Well, this train wreck is the best the Dem's can do? ------- God help us!!!!

I call it a company paying for healthcare for it's employees ... just like other companies do.
