I think most of us are feeling a little bit of pride of our past and our future and we are ready to celebrate it.

I agree! I will continue to look on (now from the outside) to see how HP folds U in. In some small way I wish I had known that HP was in the equation before the EO date. I wish all that remain the best...many friends over many years.

i was told by elise eberwein vp of communications at hp (and soon the new us) that all employees will be receiving smaller size heritage pins so that it will look better on the uniform.

It is nice to finally be given something and not have something taken away..(until they take the EMB's) :down: I wonder if the company will be handing them out or we have to go looking for one?

The company has stolen/ taken away your pensions, your work rules, your salaries, furloughed tens of thousands of your colleagues, and heavens knows what else, and here you are getting teary-eyed because management is now handing you a stupid, and probably plastic cheap pin! And you are ALL SO GRATEFUL!

However, I'd have more pride in the airline if they used the money they're going to spend on pins to clean the aircraft interiors.

I pray daily that, despite the name of the merged company, the character of HP prevails. I've had 16+ years of "cool, northern efficiency" and it's killing me. Enough already! AWA rules! (I hope.)

From what I can tell so far AWA is more like PSA/Piedmont than USAir.
This is a good thing since the majority of leftovers are from these two carriers.
I think it'll be great.

Better days are ahead and HP just wanted to get this message out. The pin and new livery was a brillant way to do that.
