Herman Cain tweaks 999 plan to help lower-income Americans, and himself

But looking to rebut criticism that his “9-9-9” tax plan would raise taxes on poor and middle-income Americans, Cain on Friday delivered a speech here that sounded very much like a traditional politician. The former Godfather’s Pizza executive offered new details on his tax plan that he says would reduce taxes both for people who are poor and businesses that invest in low-income areas like Detroit

Flat tax 999 plan with certain tax codes.

How much pork will be in this pig in a few months?
😀

Ron Paul called the plan "Dangerous" for the very same reasons you mentioned. But hey he's a "Kook", the same kook who predicted the housing bubble and several other events that led us where we are today. Despite the media blackout he's not going away and neither is his message.

It's not dangerous, it's crazy.
Take a small business that grosses $1M but the AGI is $20K and taxes are paid on AGI.
Without deductions, this business will have to pay $90K.
Totally insane.

As I said before, if corporations were afforded the same 'level playing field' ...
You are joking. I know you are not really serious when you say Unions have been on the same playing field when it comes to political finance donations.

Stop it. We know you are one of the smartest guys in the "room" here, so you are not fooling me (us).

Corporations are now tax exempt Albert my dear?

Hey Einstein.............what was it in the Supreme Court decision that made Obama so happy and the rest of his party swoon?

In a written statement, President Obama said the high court had "given a green light to a new stampede of special interest money in our politics." He called it a "major victory" for Wall Street, health insurance companies and other interests which would diminish the influence of Americans who give small donations. Obama pledged to "work immediately" with Congress to develop a "forceful response."

"The public interest requires nothing less," Obama said.

I guess he was referring to Solyndra, GE, GM, Johnson Controls, Evergreen Solar, Green Vehicles, did I miss any special interest money groups that the SCOTUS decision opened the barn door to?

Obviously you missed the point of my response.

As I said before, if corporations were afforded the same 'level playing field' why then the scathing rebuke from Obama and the rest of the DNC?

Do those companies enjoy tax exempt status?

What the president said is irrelevant to the issue. It does not change the fact that companies have given money to politicians for years and have had an army of lobbyists camped out on capital hill.

Nothing you say haven't been done by unions for years either.

Obama was pissed enough to do what he did......it has a lot to do with the issue.

Looks like it changed the way companies can donate.

I am a late poster here, but I would like to comment on Herman Cain.

Herman Cain is getting hammered by the other Republicans and the media for his "misstatements".

What about Rick Perry's Rock with the racial slur and Romney's hiring of a lawn service that had an illegal working for them?

Are they not mistakes also?

#1 The Republicans don't like the fact that a "Non" politician is doing well in the polls !

#2 The media is just plain scared of him and the fact they can't play the race card !
