HHD and adding LODO--Flight Attendant Work Issues Discussion--

I think most of our passengers would rather the service we perform and are busy doing than a bag of liquor they could afford all by themselves. If a "to go" bag is what keeps you loyal to US, than more power to you.

I agree..Cashless is the way to go here. Just think of all the revenue that would be accounted for and not lining the pockets of some crews that feel they are entitled to that money.

In regards to a predeparture...it takes a whopping 7minutes at the most to serve a full first class cabin a pre departure beverage. Give them something..and at least apologize if you cant. There is nothing worse then a A FA standing in the galley complaning and gossiping to the C FA when they could be giving the required service. Trust me I hear all about the lazy FA who hides in FC. I tell my FC pasengers I am here to serve you...You wont find me hiding behind the bulkhead reading the latest issue of People magazine. For those FAs who hate people, or complaing about doing their job (btw, this is the easiest job out there) then this isnt the job for you..time to hang up those wings. There are many furloughed FAs who would love to be back flying.
 
Oh the dreaded predeparture service. It is one of the easiest things to do yet you find MANY out on the line that just don't and won't do it. If I'm flying C and the A doesn't wanna do the predeparture service I go to the back. No need for me to say hello and monitor bags since he/she isn't doing anything. I understand we have endured paycuts, work rule changes but it isn't the passengers fault who either paid for the first class ticket or flew enough in coach (paying your check) to get that upgrade and not receive a little beverage on the ground. Sorry I go along with lots but THAT is LAZY, LAZY, LAZY. Hell I even do it on the A321 and E190 by myself. It CAN and SHOULD be done. Maybe the company can change the policy to simply OJ and water throughout the day. 🙄 Ok rant over....back to the HHD bologna.

That's great, but you also bad-mouth "East flight attendants" in front of your customers which is very unprofessional.
 
I would like to say this and hopefully it will be the last time it is said. This is NOT about f/a not wanting to do their job. It is not about whether a f/a is lazy. We know that there are people out there who do not like customers. This is ABOUT changing policy without any kind of notice. Understand that if the company is allowed to make any changes without notifying the union, they will do it again. The next time it may be something we all care about. Be it seniority or pay. This is the only point. There are other threads that have topics about lazy or uninformed or disrespectuful memebers, this is not the one. I personally do not have an issue using the HHD. I receive customer letters complimenting me on average 2 times a month. (do not take this out of contex, every flight I have customers and (f/a) stating about my customer service) Again the issue is about changing policy or procedure without notification - that is all. So please if there is going to be comments it should be only on policy change - are you personally ok with your company making changes without notifying the union? if you are or are not that is what the comments should be on.
