When you say " Everyone here" you mean the dozen on here..Yeah!

I'll vote when I see the WHOLE TA When and If it is Presented to the Membership!

Jeez, I really hope that you are not in a union leadership position at US Airways because your disconnect with a swath of the membership is staggering. The alarm bells ONLY began to go off when the Reserve T/A was presented a few weeks ago. The "dozen on here" that you are condescending toward with your post is not only unbecoming, it's abhorrent. My guess is that each of the "dozen on here" speak for 40-50 other F/As. You ignore their voices at your peril.

I too want to at least read the whole T/A. I agree with asking why we are thinking of giving anything back after we have given so much. In addition, has anyone said how long this contract would be in effect if passed? If it's anything longer that 24-36 months then I say NO WAY. It's been a LONG seven years folks and the way the economy and industry changes, there is no reason to lock ourselves into a contract for more than 2-3 years...no matter how good (or crappy) it looks.
Also, holiday touch ?? Are they crazy?? That's a no go item for me.
Just my opinion ! Happy Thanksgiving !

I really don't care WHO this offends at this point but if you STILL NEED TO SEE MORE after reading the proposed reserve t/a you are a SELFISH, SELFISH, SELFISH person. Shame on ANYONE here who would vote that BS in and throw junior people under the bus. Remember this, 'you are only senior to the junior person below you'. Your also a sneeze away from being slotted when the next merger happens with a bigger carrier? No? think differently? mmmmm hmmmmm Vote very carefully my friends! ! ! ! All the other crap being dished out in that new T/A is beyond dispicable and for anyone to need to see MORE needs their damn head examined. I'll say this again so it doesn't get lost in translation.....
IF YOU ARE WILLING TO VOTE YES AND THROW YOUR FELLOW UNION BROTHERS AND SISTERS JUNIOR TO YOU UNDER THE BUS....SHAME ON YOU! ! !

Ok, fair enough.

But you just said that you wanted to read the whole t/a?

Instead of dropping the weekend restriction totally, the JNC negotiated in a Holiday Restriction. If that is a "no go item" for you, then why read more?

Tell me, is the Opening VAC proposal from the JNC a no go for you? You know, the one Mike put up on the power point board in CLT in August?

How about the amount of sick days being reduced IN EXCHANGE for 100% sick, which they are touting as an improvement, but most industries refer to as a human right?

The increase in cleaning stations, including the addition of the PHX hub?

Tell me, do you think we should be giving back more to get a few of the MANY things we gave back during DOUBLE concessionary contracts? Remember? Under the threat of CH7 liquidation?

Our JNC says we need to "give some to get some", but tell me, what did we get in 2002 and 2004? A lot of heartache, heartache that supposedly "saved" the company. And now they want more.

Have a little respect for yourself. You deserve better.

The Reserve TA is enough for me to vote no to the entire thing. I do not want to be a US reserve with the new proposed reserve system. I have been to the meetings and understand all the topics discussed. I understand the e-lines. I have read and understand the RSV TA. I understand some things need to change. What I don't understand is when did the AFA start working for the company and stop working for me?

My NO vote is an informed choice.

Give back nothing. This should be viewed not so much as contract negotiation but as a contract restoration. AFA as a group have given back more than enough. Under the present picture and looking forward, it is time to recover what has been lost. Ane then begin to negotiate for the future.
And if you separate from us, you'll never now what hit ya..................

Jeeze...Not I'm Not!

Just ignore Fa88 he can help it. He has F/a Tourette’s Syndrome via Delta via ATL. Poor thing is so messed up he can’t figure out if he should wind his ass or scratch his clock. Just an angry soul. We stopped paying attention to his silly nonsense long ago. Joke of the crew room, move along.

Personally, I don't need to read the entire t/a agreement to know how I'm going to vote. Based on the information provided by the union thus far, I"m voting a big fat NO! Moreover, I'm appalled that the union is actually trying to push this piece of garbage through as though it is something good. It's riddled with concessionary terms, ambiguous language and enough grey area to give the company carte blanche power to do whatever they wish based on their whims of the day. Shame on you negotiating commitee if this is the best you could do.

Can you believe there are actually a few RESERVES who find this new language fit for a YES vote? I know of a few and I'll tell you one thing, it's like talking politics! ! ! Stay off the subject because it makes me like them less and less everyday. Terrible I know but it's so true. When it comes to this new contract YES voters to me are like Palin supporters. To THINK she was a pretzel choke away from being president and to THINK that these f/a's could vote yes for this contract which could very well be a press of a button away. Ugggggh God help us alll.

Very Well Said!!!!!!! I definitely agree with you!!!!!

I am definitely going to vote no for the T/A. This contract is a full blown concessionary contract. There is no reason that we have to give up something in order to get something. The last contract was a major concessionary contract because the company stated that if we agreed to it then they would not file bankruptcy. But what did they do immediately after we signed it? They still filed for bankruptcy and we have been stuck with this crappy contract while our company has been making profits and our upper management has been receiving bonuses.
The fact that we are getting rid of weekend restriction, but for that we are going to have to touch holidays is unacceptable. The fact that the reserves are getting hosed in the new contract is also unacceptable. Please just reading the OPR language is horifying all on its own. There will be 2 OPR shifts a 3 hour and a 6 hour and at the end of the 3 hour shift the company can switch us and make us stay for the 6 hour OPR shift. So instead of our current 4 hour OPR shift (which if we are giving a trip we have to be airbourne within 6 hours of starting our OPR shift) we will have to do a 6 hour OPR shift. You have got to be kidding me.
The reasons to vote no continue on and on and on!
I am stunned that MF is so proud of this TA. His wife (who is very sweet) has been asked numerous times by f/a if he was going to come back on line and she has stated that he would never come back on line. This is something that should give everyone a big food for thought. This says alot.
Then of course CA she has not flown a real trip in how many years. She is way out of touch with what goes on out on line.
I just pray that everyone will take the time to read the entire TA and not just the highlights that they normally post in the front. This is something that we will have to live with for a very long time. Also remember that whatever we give up we will not get back. The proof for that statement lies in the current TA that is being negotiated for us.

Snickers...

That is the best information that ANYBODY has put out......

THIS CONTRACT IS CONCESSIONARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We should be working off of the OLD contract NOT the current!!!!

Based on the fact that nearly EVERY "new" option available is "At Crew Scheduling's Discretion" proves that there's no merit to it .......... I do not believe I fell off a turnip truck recently.

With the exception of Phoenix, I do not recall any recent meetings held in the past month to show what is SO GOOD and compelling about the RSV TA Section of the contract to even consider me (or anyone else) to think about voting yes (which of course will NOT happen). I can only imagine what the rest of the contract will entail (do we have a *shivers* smiley face I can post here??? )

This Union should be ashamed. I'm not proud to be a part of it! FIVE YEARS??????

# 1 Mike, Carol, Ann and John have no shame. None. Don't ask for it as they don't have it give. They are here to use the system. Mike can't admit failure. Carol is on planet San Diego. John well, John only knows what goes through his mind out in Wilmington NC as he snatches every dollar from AFA he can. The guy is not even line qualified anymore. End of that story. Are you getting the picture?

#2 Mike won't sit, live or marinate in this disease of an "improved" contract. He will pull the eject cord and point to his wife as cover. "Well my wife works under it" - Yeah dude. Lets hear how that works out a year after supposed ratification.
