Okay, I fixed the list based on the responses I've received so far/correcting my own omissions...

ComeFlyWithMe, does that look correct to you?
You got it right brother which the exception of BOS.....MSY couldn't get contracted out because of Katrina. It would of been polical suicide if Delta did away with it, but it was on the list. Right now it's being staff with Delta people from other stations on a rotating bases.

looks like a lot of low hanging fruit....

This is what they've said so far regarding that ( a memo from NW SVP Crystal Knotek):

1. In a city where NW has ramp staff (eg. DFW, PDX, SFO), and DL does not, NW will "take over" the handling of both. If there are DL people who have recall rights back down to the ramp, they will be allowed to do so.

2. In a city where NW is totally outsourced, but DL has above wing employees (eg, COS, BDL, OKC), DL will take over both operations, with the ramp to stay outsourced.

3. In a city where NW is mainline, but DL is operated, by a connection carrier (eg. MSN, FNT, GRR), NW will take it all over (above and below wing).

Kev,

I've got to take EXCEPTION to item #1.

If a DL mainline ramper had recall rights to DFW, AND where the DFW ramp is ALREADY(NW) UNION, AND DL Currently has NO ramp operation, That DL person could NOT work the ramp alongside Unionized NW workers.

The ONLY way I could see that happening, is ...once the DL recallee is brought back;

1. He'd have to join the IAM, which would mean BOTTOM occ. seniority, but could retain DL company sen.

NH/BB--

Item #1 will take place "once representational issues are worked out." If it's a mainline employee, there will some issues. However, if they decide to hire on some of the DGS folks, then they go to Day 1 seniority.

Also, DL doesn't have occ. seniority in the same way AA & NW do. From a memo posted on DeltaNet, it's my understanding that they can move between above wing, below wing, res., and cargo with full pay and company seniority. Now how that works for bidding of shifts, reduction in force, etc., I don't know....

What? Are you saying a fight attendant with 20 years can go out and all the pilot qualifications, get hired, and move into the right seat???

When DL outsourced the ramp at DFW a lot of the more senior rampers just bid up to the counter/gate or the res office at DFW instead of having to move elsewhere. They do keep their seniority for everything. A few of them that I know do want to get back down to the ramp when NW takes over the DFW ramp, but they don't want to loose any seniority either...

I don't think that once this all pans out the folks at DL will be able to have it all. The days of portability of jobs is hopefully coming to an end. You will have to pick your spot, ramp, counter, res., and roll with it. I hope that if you want to work on the ramp you will have a opportunity to get there. I would also like to see you stay there.
