If not this time then in a year -
THE VOTE (IAM vs IBT) Remember Mr 7 & Delldue. Oh Your too busy Bashing other brother's I forget. MWWWhat vote?
The IAM represents the mainline US Airways fleet service and has since 1995, nothing has changed in regard to that and the HP fleet will not become IAM also.
You need 35% to call for an election in a merger, but you still need 50%+1 to keep a union.
Prove the 600 are dead and retired.
Your ibt wants to remove the furloughed utility along with the stock clerks. People who have recall rights and the clerks have been on the CBA since 1949.
You dont have the cards, that is why you want get rid of people who have a legal right to vote.
Thank your ibt all their contracts allow the total outsource of heavy mtc.
It took two bankuptcies in less then two years to allow partial outsourcing.
Take off your blinders and let reality sink in.
The IAM CBAs in the industry pre 9/11 were one of the highest paid and best scope language, something you ibters cant say about your cbas.
tell all of the facts Seven... 50%+1 of the voting block, must VOTE, then which ever side has the most votes win!!!
past practices from the NMB as you like to say that it counts, if the utes have NO chance of returning to work, then the NMB can and WILL remove them.. is that to hard to comprehend
US only farms out the A330 and 767, all the A320 family are done in-house all the 737s are done in-house now, and I know they are bring back the 757s also.
US east at least does heavy on the majority of the fleet, HP does not.
He did tell the facts
If you have 5 employees and only 4 vote (2 for each union) and 1 did not vote. You are decertified. Pretty simple huh even a trucker should understand thaT!!!!!!!!!!
per hal heule, only 3 57's were being done.. keep trying.. what about the clause that allows all mx done outside the lower 48 to be outsourced
no, if the voting block( all persons certified by the NMB to vote in the representational election) is 5 and 4 votes, that would be an 80% vote cast, then the indivual votes tallied, would show a tie, and probably a runoff
that is what is confusing, and the aIAM is not trying to make it clear..
while i am thinking of it
UW, why does the IAM sya that the east cba would be the surviving one, when the company siad afte rthe IAM_TWU agreement that both would follow their cba's until a new one can be done...I thought that the cba could not be changed until 2009????
couldn't have said it better myself....REALITY ON THE EAST SIDE 😉out of a possible 5000 here at us you are going to be lucky to get 2500 to vote.
in this case more than 2.5 would have to vote to avoid decert.no, if the voting block( all persons certified by the NMB to vote in the representational election) is 5 and 4 votes, that would be an 80% vote cast, then the indivual votes tallied, would show a tie, and probably a runoff
Does the company have to negotiate a new contract with the IAM?
Not necessarily. It is possible that the negotiations will simply address how we transition all Fleet Service workers to the IAM agreement.
That said, the company is open to discussing modifications to the existing IAM agreement as long as the net effect is that those modifications do not increase overall costs. That’s been the case with every workgroup.
Can the company just accept the existing IAM contract without negotiating a new one? Will the company do this?
The company view is that the IAM agreement is the surviving agreement at the merged carrier. However, as stated earlier, we are willing to discuss modifications to that agreement provided the end result is not an increase in costs.
So I thought that These people Have Become IAM Member's with out There conscent. Now You are saying they Are not IAM. Make up your (IAM)Mind. MWWThe IAM represents the mainline US Airways fleet service and has since 1995, nothing has changed in regard to that and the HP fleet will not become IAM also.
