IF YOU HAVE ALL THESE CARDS,WHY HAVEN'T YOU FILED FOR REPRESENTATION?
The "snap back" grievance outcome could impact any vote.
IF YOU HAVE ALL THESE CARDS,WHY HAVEN'T YOU FILED FOR REPRESENTATION?
just like viewing the IAM contract...this IBT one is classified.Has there been an official card count?? I hadn't heard that.
since you all are now 'U'...just access the hub...its there under divisions, human resources...its that easy .1. Mr. Marshall why does the IAM hide their CBA?
The "snap back" grievance outcome could impact any vote.
It wont take that long the airbus case only took five months.
You have to get enough cards for a vote and I would almost bet if their is a vote it will end up in a decertification and then you can kiss the majority of the jobs goodbye.
dude its not the union its the membership.Ok........lets say it does end up in decertification. Which union would you blame?
no dude its the current employees on the property who won't bother...we've tried to tell you that before.if you are lucky enough to pull off representation you will see how unionism is dead here....IBT will not resurrect it either.the only ones who attend union meetings for the most part are stewards and not all of them go.You are so worried that the furloughed members will not care enough to vote.
What good is any kind of union without strong members. And if you don't have strong members, what good is a union?? Sounds like a stupid statement but one without the other isn't worth anything. And it's not just labor unions.......it's a "union" of any kind. Just like in politics...........those that don't vote really shouldn't #### about the way things turned out.
Well in this case it is,a weak union is better than no union at USAIRWAYS no matter who it is.Sounds like a stupid statement but one without the other isn't worth anything.
"Sounds like a stupid statement" No truer words have been said in this entire thread.
Without contracts...This combined airline could shed itself of everyone for any reason that happened to suit their needs? Can you say Cost Cutting Measures ? You have likely become Jerry Glass's favorite asker of questions.
OK...without a contract 2000 Heavy Maintenance Jobs just went south of the border. Wouldn't that help level the field between US and say WN, FL , B6 and a few others almost overnight? Gee...Do you think DP would be whistling zippidy do dah out of is A$$ then? You bet he would !!
OK..without a contract "Your Fired" for some trumped up reason.and being in a "Right to Work" State , you can't do much about it..as the burden of proof is up to you to provide proof of wrongfull termination.
OK..without a contract "Your Fired" .Cuz the company can hire someone new and un-represented for half of what you are presently making...and they would likely have fewer benefits too coming to them as well.
Be carefull what you wish for...you just might GET IT in ways you haven't begun to carefully consider.
BTW AIRWOMAN...WOULD YOU CARE TO SHARE WITH EVERYONE EXACTLY WHAT UNION REPRESENTS YOU PRESENTLY at US/HP WEST ??? Fill in the blank ___________
Afterall AIRWOMAN...you get involved with every thread on this subject..and sure its mostly questions...but I just thought I'd pose a question to you for a change. Let's let everyone see where you are coming from ?
My statement was to emphasize, in my opinion, the need for strength between the unions and the members. And IF there is a vote, then show the strength and vote.
As I have clearly stated before, I am not currently in a position with union representation. I have been a union member a number of times before. And as stated before, I may be acreeded into the union because of the merger. And yes, I do and will ask questions.....of both sides.
That's where I am coming from and I have made that fact known.
duh...i don't think so...Well in this case it is,a weak union is better than no union at USAIRWAYS no matter who it is.
