Found this over on AVSIM, and thought it was cool to see what it'd b like if we had 747-800s

Very nice! Cool pic! Ah, but then again if I had blue eyes I would be married to Prince Charming by now. When I wake up they will still be brown and we will still be flying Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 767-200 to Athens and 757-200 to DUB. Fuel stops and all.

It would probably be laid out with 6 envoy seats and 660 people in coach.
the in-house, cost nuetral livery makes me vomit.
can you send somebody an AOL and have that beautiful aircraft re-appear in the scathing pre-AWA livery? i think that would be gorgeous!!
ps-not the aqua green and orange livery...low cost carrier tricks are for kids.

There would be no closet space, three lavs and staffed with 6 flight attendants (CSD and D to work Envoy. All 4 others to work coach). We could oversell it to 10/910. In order to conserve floor space for additional seating, our configuration will not include a stairs to reach the upper deck. We have replaced that with a chain ladder. All gate/inflight procedures written by American West employees who have never been in a widebody and have only left the USA for a spring break in Cancun. There would be 660 seat dupes at boarding. Don't forget the overhead projection inflight entertainment system. All 6 Envoy seats will be "Almost Lie-Flat" and the flight would feature Uniquely American Service. We will also cater it with two whole trays of ice. All enhancements will be cost neutral. Oh this is too easy. I'm just going to stop now.

Now I would accept all of these if they would add it on a late afternoon PHL-PIT-PHL turn to accomodate commuters.

I think the 747 things been done here already.
yeah, it crashed and burned pretty quickly, didn't it???
although, you westies like to think you know how to cater to the transoceanic pax. you have NO clue!! mexico and canada are NOT, i repeat, NOT, transoceanic.
regime change...yesterday, please.
bu bye, DoUgIe...what a disgrace and a sloth you are.
and, kirby...you are too cute to be associated with the likes of DoUgIe?? can i have your number, baby?

I'm reminded of the time that the old US made a bone-head move with the B757. Remember when we first got those, they were only scheduled to certain cities? To add a leg in to generate money, US scheduled a CLT-AVL-CLT trip during downtime. Only problem was, nobody checked with AVL to see if its taxiways were wide enough to accommodate a B757. Oops. I don't remember where they decided to put that "extra" leg. Maybe it was GSP?

If old US could screw up like that, imagine the debacle with Tempe involved!

I didn't have access to AOL back then. We only needed to get AOL in PIT now that we have to commute and need to look up loads. So I am going to have fun with it now!

Just stating opinions

Gloria, didn't one of your husband's fly the 747 out of MSP for Northwest Orient?

Although I prefer to forget him, yes my ex-husband (#3) Frank D'Agostino is on the 747 for Northwest Orient. When we first got married he was based in ORD so it was a real easy commute to PIT. When he transfered to MSP, the commute got tough. I had to fly Northwest Orient down to ORD to catch USAir to PIT. Finally, after they merged with Republican I was able to fly Northwest Orient directly to PIT. The commute took its toll on our marriage. The final straw was the video tape I found of his Manila overnight. He is still with NWO but should be ready to retire any day now. He has been married to a Republican gal since the early 90s. I rode the 747 a lot back then. I don't think the American West crowd we have now could handle it.

You must think the AWA paint job was very awful if you think it was worse then this.

I sorta liked the Metrojet livery. The original HP livery wasn't bad...but that one that was just replaced was worse than what US has now. That swoosh has got to go. And bother way, are people color blind in AZ? They always seem to pick colors for things that are like 1 or 2 shades off from what they really should be....case in point being those hideous new leather seats. PUKE

you know what, former hp fa, or whatever...
if i #### on a burning stick, it would look a lot better than "swoosh".
but, then again, you westies think that aqua green and orange communicate class....
i cannot wait to see the new "envoy". will it compare to what you westies have done to our livery? our inflight magazine? our inflight product? our transatlantic product? our fflyer program? i could go on...
gloria, would you pass me a xanax? yeah, the blue one; it looks like a brick. thanks, hon.
