Hey does it seem like there is more seats available on flights around thanksgiving compared to last year and past years.
I wonder is people have lost confidence in Usairways and do not want a repeat of last year.

As a consumer can you blame them? If I get bad service at a restaurant, hotel, store etc.... I usually take my business elsewhere. I hope this isn't true.

Hmmmmm.......it would make sense that they would remember such a highly publicised event. Maybe the public has no confidence in the re-birth of US Airways. I can understand the reluctance to experience that again. I hope we can show them that we are serious about our airline succeeding. 🙂

Load factor for the East side on Friday was 81% - pretty decent in my book.

I could care less if bookings are down, as long as revenues are up.

So far, I find my holiday flights close to booked. Thanksgiving Day is light as usual

I had to book jumpseat to get to and from work.
I'd say that bookings are probably okay.
If they are down, it'd be more due to the lackluster economy than anything else. The only ones looking for the bad stuff are on this web board.

LACKLUSTER!?

LACKLUSTER...depends on your position. From my position everyone I know is or can work 7/12's and are sick of overtime...guess your position is the wrong position.

With "Outsourcing" so widespread in so many business sectors I can only assume some folks have tried to do it with their families.......saves on travel dramas and dealing with the need to break bread with rogue family members one would rather not deal with ANY DAY of The Week.

Yes, at $5.15/hr.
Go Bush!

Actually, I find the flights on the West coast very very full. I'm hoping and praying I get where I'm going--It'll be my birthday and I don't want to spend it in PHX.

I just did a 3 day trip with lots of flying and every leg was ful, full, full and this was with a lot of east coast runs. FULL FULL. I think its going to be from here on out all the way till jan 3!

Try $30 an hour, myself included.

My brother-in-law has been working 7/12's for years and retiring soon in his early 50's.

You need trade skills and if you have them, it's there.

In part, due to outsourcing, mine and my brother-in-laws for example. No union nonsense to deal with where employers pay very well, IF ONE IS TRULY SKILLED. Scab I am? No, SKILLED, PRESISTENT and not blinded by union rhetoric.

...seek and ye shall find

DOWN with the GOP and BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bush didn't get me where I'm at, if anything he hindered it.

Try another excuse….
