Is Usairways Running Low On Cash?

Does anybody know where USAIRWAYS stands with the cash on hand now?

I am wondering about it because of all the increased unplanned expenses: the baggage delivery costs, including payments to customers waiting for their
luggage, reaccommodation costs on other airlines, hotel accommodations, meal
vochers from Christmas Philadelphia fiasco. etc ?

This had to be a drain on resources for over 10,000 lost and delayed bags and all those cancelled flights?

At holiday time the airline should have made... alot of money.

I can't find the last report that I saw, but I thought we had 837 Million cash on hand as of Nov 30th. Don't quote me on that, but I swear I read that in a press release.

As long as you are looking into expenditures how about looking into the amount of money being spent to have FedEx ship all of our maintenance inventories to HMV in Alabama?? We have our own stores dept and yet an outside entity is contracted to do the same thing for big bucks!!

I guess it's a small price to pay for ridding yourself of those pesky unions <_< .

This too will blow up in their face just as the PHL baggage fiasco.....they are just too short sighted to realize it  .

check this out..
a freind of mine had a flight canceled at PHL..they put him on a later flight..
US gave him vouchers to use at the airport for food and drinks..
Nobody at PHL would accept the vouchers.
Isn't this great?..
Cash? what cash?
