Fisher indicted on child-porn charge

A federal grand jury in Charlotte has indicted Kenneth Mark Fisher, accusing the 45-year-old US Airways flight attendant of possession of child pornography.

Fisher, who has been suspended from his job as a flight attendant while the airline conducts an investigation, will be allowed to remain free pending his trial. The child pornography charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Carl Horn set a $50,000 unsecured bond for Fisher. But the magistrate ordered Fisher to turn over his passport and not to have any contact with children unless supervised by an adult or approved by the U.S. Probation Office.

Horn also ordered that Fisher submit to "a psycho-sexual" evaluation by a qualified mental health professional experienced in evaluating and managing sexual offenders.

Fisher is prohibited from possessing any materials depicting or describing child pornography or sexually explicit conduct, ...

As word spread Thursday that a south Charlotte man had been charged in an international child porn ring, his neighbors expressed fear and outrage, and his US Airways coworkers said the allegations seemed out of character.

Kenneth Mark Fisher, 45, has been charged with third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The veteran US Airways flight attendant was arrested last week in connection with a federal investigation into a group accused of using an Internet chat room to exchange child pornography, including live videos of children being molested.

Fisher, who owns a home in the Landen Meadows neighborhood near Rea Road, is out of jail on a $10,000 bond.

Neighbors said Fisher had been in and out of his house in the last week but appears to be staying elsewhere.

They said his dachshund is gone, and one woman saw someone carrying armloads of clothes out of the house. ...

This is a conversation site, smack off. And, he is/was an employee for USAirways. Just like there is conversation regarding management, or f/as that get pepper sprayed or beat up by pax, there is conversation about MARK FISHER!!! Its public knowledge what he is being charged with. There is no secrets.

And were is he now? Those who are in the know, must know.

I agree that this is not really the proper place to post this information. Although the person is/was a US employee, airing their "Dirty Laundry" on an Aviation discussion board is meaningless. He nor his legal problems have anything to do with the operation of the airline. We could just start to dig up dirt on all other employees if we wished to do so. If this guy had any wrong doing while on duty that had negative impications for US, that MAY be something to discuss here. :down:

Doesn't matter what I think. It matters to those who wish to inquire about a co-worker. As long as it memains a cordial dialog I see no harm

I,am sure there are other ways to inquire about another co-worker than go on a public board.

I just dont think that was the purpose, I had never heard of the person and now we all do.

Ok guys. I'm sorry if I ruffled everyones feathers. I just was reminded of Mark due to another incident that happened around the same time last year. I knew Mark from the training department and on the line and somehow never really believed he could have done what he was accused of. I was hoping to hear some good news. Once again I'm sorry and I wasn't trying to start a huge argument amongst everyone.
