The one-flight-a-day side letter is fantastic, but it only stands until a JCBA is reached. It should be the jump off point-and floor- of any Scope talks...
Can't happen with District 141 involved in those talks Kev since it's plainly apparent that you think the entire District is loaded up with a bunch of nit wits and nincompoops.

Talos. A difficult puzzle indeed. A monumental challenge for the NC. The goal should be, and I believe is with our NC, reaching "a very good all around deal...". for everyone. Will everyone's interests be satisfied? Unlikely, but you kick and scratch for everything you can protect and gain. IMO... that is the challenge the NC is saddled with. The below wing, represented work groups in this industry, however, have demonstrated a history of voting for the money, as long as concessions in other Articles, such as Recognition and Scope, don't have a direct impact on them. I witnessed first hand, as a Teller in the 1st UA/CO Agreement, members in my station who voted for the money, despite the writing on the wall. It was ratified locally by the same margin it was ratified system wide. 70 - 30% I believe. Remarkable! As a result... none of them work here anymore. Our local lost over 30 represented jobs at UA. They either had to locate elsewhere to retain employment, took furlough or were forced to retire.  The NC is charged with reaching an agreement that represents the best interest of the entire membership. Even when the membership does not share this thought process. I support the NC in this challenge. However long it takes. A difficult puzzle and challenge. But one worth pursuing IMO.
30 years of being messaged that one is "just a ramper" will do that to people...

As far as Klemm & co. goes, that's true.

I will be surprised and delighted if your JCBA trends the other way...

The lack of solidarity among our work group and others is contributing to our demise. Would you agree?

You know when it comes to our talks I haven't ever heard the name Klemm mentioned even once. Never.

Just in case that's the guy you have a personal beef with?

How could that happen AA wasn't in bankruptcy in 2003? you mean they (TWU)voluntarily gave concessions? What kind of union am I being forced into.
They took concessions out of bankruptcy, and saved their pension for nine more years.

If they didnt, AA would have filed like the rest of the airlines that did.

Then explain NK's T/A; they're 141 too.

At any rate, the one-flight-a-day side letter is fantastic, but it only stands until a JCBA is reached. It should be the jump off point-and floor- of any Scope talks...
What was Robert Roach's Classification at TW?

Dont play that game, and 141 is all ramp and stores, not one mechanic is in that district and hasnt been in years.

Ok compare NK to UA, and AA and DL.

NK is an ULCC, why dont express carriers workers make the same as mainline?

Compare apples to apples not oranges.

I can just imagine old WT smiling in gleeful abandon as Kev attacks basically everyone in that entire IAM district who currently holds a position.

Can you imagine the things he'd be throwing at Kev if he were still around?

Disappointing.

AANOTOK is the TWU  a respected union with the AA folk or are most folks apathetic  like we are with the IAM.

klemm violated our bylaws as well as Sito. The Association is the exclusive bargainer but our bylaws say the district is. Ive got one case at the dol right now regarding the association's lack of officer elections, and if and when i have the time ill file a federal case over the association bargaining for me.

Not sure why you brought Roach or AMTs into things, but the IAM does have AMTs handling fleet issues.

As for NK, they have the same planes as UA, AA, and DL, and its rampers perform the same core work we do.

Fear not; I'm sure he still lurks in the shadows here, and he definitely still stalks me offline...

That is why.

And The GVP for Transportation for the IAM for many years, was a TW Ramper.

So dont play the "just a ramper" card.

So explain why NK, and express carriers pay ALL of their employees lower wages than a mainline airline?

You seem to have just glanced over it.
