That's what people just don't get. Company has ultra low cost saving contracts on both sides for the longterm. Neg team says they won't accept the company offer. Fine!! The company saves even more $$!! The meetings are just a dog and pony show.

The negotiations didn't even start until 7 MONTHS AFTER the Association was Certified.
 
7 Months folks, let that sink in.
 
It took 4 months to combine both the pilots and Flight Attendants contracts, 4 months.
 
One of these things is not like the other.

Whether or not it will wind up working out to our advantage is irrelevant. BOTH Unions are to blame for the slow if not rocky start.

The IAM for standing firm for a standalone agreement.
The TWU for waiting for the Association to be certified by the NMB.

Wait or not. The Company was presented with a FULL comprehensive proposal and NEVER offered one in return.

And the company holds the bank account numbers. Not either one of the Unions.

Do you want to just accept anything that's offered to us and this can end quickly?

Tim the last LUS contract look pretty good some of the same people are this team. In fact some articles (scope) set the bar so high it will be almost impossible to equal in this contract.

It has nothing to do with the negotiation team. They are just pawns. Even Tommy Reagon isn't calling the shots. It has everything to do with Sito. I gave Sito credit for the last contract. The idea of the Association was significant, and dumped a lot of leverage into the IAM corner, at the expense of the TWU, which had to stand down. I gave Sito credit for hoodwinking Chicken Little. Couldn't believe he got the TWU to take the bait.

And I'm not impressed with Lombardo. Sorry but he needs to get his head out of his arse asking us to support and picket for the TSA peeps. Us First. He needs to shut up and stop telling us what to do and start doing what the hell he needs to do. Afterwall, we are paying him a lot.
