"Your committee received a visit from TWU International President and Association Vice Chair Harry Lombardo, on Tuesday. He addressed the committee with his thoughts, and restated his commitment and support to the Association and these negotiations."

Maybe Harry should sit in on the negotiations, or better yet, pay a visit to Douglas and let him know he's not too encouraged by the progress,

I hope Harry's heart is in it, as I'm sure he's not too fond of playing second fiddle. If I recall, he wasn't even a fan of the Association to begin with.

To date, I honestly cannot recall any accomplishments or victories his regime has gotten for it's TWU members on the Air Division side.

Maybe it is time to see the militant side of Harry, if his heart is in it.
The TWU takes over the Association on August 1.

Tick Tock.

Other than the scheduling, which IMO is pretty aggressive compared to past negotiations. I can tell all of you that it so far is more like typical negotiations. Company seems to be fighting and clawing, and making us do the same, for every little thing. However if we keep scheduling an average of 3 weeks every month, this can still get done at a decent time.

Hey man. Where you been? I'm disappointed. No scheduled meetings in MIA? You can go night swimming now here.

CB watch out for their little Chess game. Remember Parker don't get paid more till we get paid more. Remind them of that.

We pretty much just schedule now in Dfw, Dca or NYC due to free meeting space In these cities. The one time we scheduled Mia it cost way too much for meeting rooms. And we don't worry too much about the chess games. They are expected.

Oh well I guess I can understand that. Need to have enough cash for the Steak and Lobsters every night. Just kidding. Nelsons been floating around here lately. Watch out he doesn't jump in to claim you've been drinking $2000.00 bottles of wine and flying in Greek Belly dancers.

Nothing wrong with that, just not on my dime.

Saw that you started on the CS's. Just wanted to let you know here in MIA they are vitally important to people. We have a ton of PTers looking for hours and many commuters. Especially guys from SJU that got laid off to here.

That's the biggest thing they talk about here and are scared of what changes might come? They talk about that issue more than anything else. Believe it or not even more than the money.

If they did another round down here I'd pick up the Steak tab. Can't afford the Lobster though.

Yea. The CS's ( swaps ) are a big issue for both sides. My only problem with the LAA side is they are company policy and not contractual. However I do love the flexibility your side has with them. But we have to get it contractual. And Tim and I go way back. When he stays on topic, he makes very good points to the members. And I'm not wine guy at all. Pretty much just boring miller lite for me.

On no. Trust me. I want them in language too. Keeping that as a policy in the company's hands they use it as a tool for economic punishment. I've never been comfortable with that and I only use it myself to take a day off every few months. So it's not actually a high priority to me individually. But just wanted to clue you in on my station where it's probably used more than anywhere else?

And I agree. When Tim stays on the meds he's great. Off the meds we get laundry baskets and beer videos.

Yea that's BS. Whatever policy we decide on, it will be contractual so they can't be taken from anyone. But this is a big issue to both sides mainly because of all the commuters we have due to station closings over the years.

i imagine its becoming more of an issue for management as well now. I think it was fantastic that we got the "me too" on cs with the cwa, I just hope that management doesnt hardline changes by trying to negotiate uncomfortable restrictions. CS and the freedoms we have with them are industry leading and coveted.

Trying to improve or worst case keep what we currently have in each article. So we will do the same here in this one. Really a no cost to the company. But they know what a big deal it is to the members.
