Listen to me now, believe me later. But yes, the company july proposal was contracting out much of fleet work. 1000+ jobs. You dont have to believe their letter either.
Huh???
Please go into a little more detail. Because I was there, and I don't have a clue what your talking about. I would appreciate it if you would enlighten me a little more:

your kidding right? albeit unacceptable that letter provided more specifics in terms of intentions than we've ever been given from the so called people that represent us...sad if you ask me! the ASSES need to just release the proposal and for once let the members arrive at their own conclusions

Through the years I have been through numerous contract negotiations. Although, I agree the communication from the Association has plenty of room for improvement, I think the company's letter, signed by two Corporate Officers, demonstrates how the status of negotiations can change at this point from one session to another. Difficult to effectively communicate with the changing environment? It's imperative to communicate a clear and current position. This letter, signed by two Corporate Officers, who restate the company's Comprehensive Proposal back in July 2017 is a perfect example. Put out there to mislead and deceive the MTC. and Related group. The proposal they speak of was put forth in July negotiations. A proposal firmly rejected by the NC at the time. The August Fleet negotiations went much better from what has been indicated. We wait for MTC to proceed. As we should! The letter misleads members into thinking it is current status when it is not. Smart move by the company. Cast the net... bound to catch some

AA's claim of having the most staffed station of any legacy carrier (40) is false.

Delta has 43.

I hope P. Rez and Co. we're quick to call that out.
Yes we have called them out on it. The company counts on people not being educated on the facts. Just like the letter states that they offered additional pay to keep us at the top of the industry. What they are not telling you is that is for 1 year. After that we drop below UA, and who knows about DL since they are non union and can give increases anytime.

And the best way to have that net come up empty, is poke holes in it. Dispute their claims with facts so the members can swim away!

So just curious, after you read the letter from the company, what do you need us to dispute? Do you think what's on the letter is " leading industry"? They pretty much say what they are offering.

So you are saying that their letter showed clarity, nothing was hidden. In listening to Dale Danker, he explained some of where AA was misleading the members, true facts with numbers. I think you know what I'm saying CB, but I do get the IAM and TWU view and interpret things differently.

...and let me ask you this CB, do you think the TWU pressure put on by the picketing had anything to do with AA releasing that letter today?

That is exactly what I was saying CB, disputing what they throw out there. I'm not sure why you were so curious and wondered what I wanted you to dispute. You just proved my point.

It concerns me that they think it's a great proposal

Worse, they are counting on you now having to spend time/energy/resources refuting all of that info.

That's what happens when labor takes a reactive stance instead of a proactive one.
I believe there those who have taken an extremely proactive stance and are also eager to be educated.
You can only listen and learn from what your teacher teaches you!

if you guys were honest and forthright you wouldn't have to dispute anything. but we all know that'll never happen. typical reactive stance as usual. what does it take to get real leadership!
