Are you a mechanic or a baggage handler? Let me ask you this. How many High School educated (unionized) baggage handlers do you see leaving the airline they're in to move on to greener pastures and port their 401's to the next airline? I leave AA to go to Delta as a BH and I'm now a RR. Yea I'm going for that one. Or at TOS as I am now I just want to work for SWA because they have beer bongs on top of their HQ. Oh now TOS goes to BOS. Yea I'm shooting for that one too.

If we had a tremendous amount of Baggage Handler turn over at AA I wouldn't be in the middle of the pack in seniority with 21 years. And I've NEVER heard anyone say they stick around because of that pension bro.

Weez it is very difficult to battle someone like Tim he has this attribute that only few have, in fact I can only think of a couple of people Howard Stern, Don King and maybe Donald Trump. He can't be embarrassed no matter what you do or say he won't blink.You'll get more than your share of jabs in but the the man has an excellent chin I'm not praising him It's just a 20 year observation

We went through  2 bankruptcies and a third if you count yours  and we always had a part time cap.Got a tax bill today Weez I need to get paid. The "Summer of Weaasles" is a third  gone it might be the time to move over rover and let Timmy take over  and "other people" too

At any rate, we really do have to move on. The key players in our negotiations are highly uneducated, unresearched, and really clueless. This TA should have been wrapped up a long time ago. Each of us already knows what we are getting so what is the fuss?

scope: 12 flights a day [grandfather rights for a half dozen or so current LUS stations that fall below that] -1 . Should be 5 like the CWA. [edit: I'm hearing 15+ flights if the IAM keeps screwing around though.]

Health care: LAA health care. They will prolly toss in a hoodwinker like the CWA playing make believe for the LUS folks into thinking some things will be worked out at a later date. It worked well for the CWA. -1

Wages: $30 Weasel was right about this one, I'll give him points. Not sure if he fades in the distance as he promised though. I hope he sticks around.

Part time Cap: We don't lose it, it shifts to the LAA language.

Retirement: Too close to call. The one thing we know is that the company contribution will be higher in the IAMPF or 401k or some morph of both.

Holidays: 10

Vacation: 5 weeks

Sick time: 12 days

As other posters acknowledge, same as CWA although we can hope for the 6th week. Anything less than the CWA's paid days off will be a direct result of missing the window of opportunity.

Overtime: double time like CWA finally

Shift differ: Yes, restoration.

Profit Sharing: Yes. See Parker

Buyout: $50,000

Signing Bonus: $3,000+ for F/T

And that's the story folks. I could have went in there and resolved all of this in about 30 minutes as we already know this is the piece of pie that Parker gave them. Cripes, he handed more to the non contract peeps but we will get less, as the above indicates.
Wiki leaks? Scope 15 flights a day?
 
just curious Tim  how do you know this to be a factual thing for JCBA?    Ill wait til an actual rep from them comes on here  or we get a TA and compare to what you put here    Youre counting the eggs before they hatch
