There are great people in Texas and I made friends for life there but at least for me and other NYers I talked to, there was just something. A sense of people talking behind your back. And of course my ideology is very different from how they think and they're not exactly open to different ideas and cultures. (Many of them at least)

I know people who work for AA back there with over 20 years and have never even left the State to fly anywhere outside of it. Had a few tell me "I have everything I need right here in Texas"

That kind of thinking just doesn't work for me.
They do have a great pride the Lone Star hanging in every house. I wouldn't know what a NY flag looks like. NY has  a new ad you come here to live not retire and the city is cool but who can afford it.

The only city I've been to that comes close to NY was Dublin. Even London didn't have that sense of culture. But I don't really miss it anymore. I think I breathed it in pretty deep for 32 years before I left. It does take a few years to get used to being away from it though. It took about 5 years before I stopped grabbing those NYC papers off the LGA and JFK inbounds.

Wouldn't change where I grew up for anywhere else on Earth.

Yeah I rather have Weez kick me in the nads than debate on time performance. Bob why are there so many Pickup trucks in TX what do they do put hay back there? they live in the city and they still drive trucks
Funny you should mention this, just the other day I was thinking, I was sitting in my car and noticing all the US guys in brand new trucks, this one in particular, 2015 or 16 Dodge supercab dually costing 40k. I bet those Buy-here Pay-here are making a bundle off these broke ass clerks, another thing, clerks love the flashy car, but when it comes to getting regular dealer maintenance, again, broke ass clerks cant afford it, like this one guy I see driving a half way decent BMW, but when he starts it up, it smokes on one side of the exhaust. But as far as I can tell trucks are a hill billy status symbol so lets get your red neck on and get our selves a pick up truck.

Born in ROC, and would give almost anything to be back.

...from the F/A thread...W, you go ahead and keep hammering Tim on a daily bases and a good man like Kevin. I will pick and chose my own who, when and where and really don't need any encouragement or discouragement from you. Thank You!

Ok. Have fun. 700 you were right. AANOTOK is obsessed with you. He is following you around from thread to thread just to whack you for his own personal reasons. Nope you don't even need to comment and he's still going to mention you.

You're a Forum Rock Star bro. (700UW I mean)

And AANOTOK I asked you a question over there. Can I get an answer?

Do you want our negotiators to accept everything the company wants to offer us and they can get this wrapped up in probably one week?

They don't even have to argue about the 7 or 3% if we really want this done so badly.

Funny thing is, the number after 699 never even said I was obsessed with him. Not only are you his spokesman, you actually are SPEAKING FOR HIM...You're a hoot W!

But to answer your question W, you know I know what is going on so the answer is no. I would like to see the Association be more vocal and put more pressure on the company to get it done. The company should pay a price for playing games in my opinion.

Weez since May I have had 5 birthdays 1 wedding and 1 graduation and in August I'm facing a $600 dollar speeding ticket I need to get paid. On the other hand if they are going to wait until right before open enrollment to settle I would rather they wait a month so I won't have to go in the AA plan.

Not as any long lasting panic mode no. Again what you have an issue it seems in understanding is (again) I support being as diversified as possible. Placing your personal investments all over the proverbial map so to say. I've NEVER said someone should not invest in a 401k, ROTH IRA, or any other accounts.
Like I've said before, I have 4 stools on my chair right now and wouldn't mind adding that 5th if the offer was appealing.
My plan is to retire with more investments then I need to accumulate for living out my life. That way if any or all of them take a hit, I'll have a decent cushion maybe to ride that wave.
But BREXIT was a nice little example to use to show just how easy it is for the market to take a tumble even if I did personally feel it wasn't going to last too long. It should have been a little wake up call for you to be diversified.
You would have to be a complete moron to join the iampf or incredibly ignorant. Therefore ill give you credit and think that you really arent that stupid, and that you are just an iam shill. Prolly making some money doin it as well.

He has to be getting paid as a Ill Ask Management shill. Most everyone knows what we are already getting but weasel wants us to believe that our negotiation team can pimp more money out of parker by i guess stomping their feet. Nobody likes this association as it is stealing our money. Even the non union peeps did great with scope for 5 flights, and even so much more than us on everything else. We are losing $950 a month cuz of weasel and his peeps on the iam side.

The TWU takes the helm on August 1st. Let's see what happens. Some buttons are already floating out there.
