JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

By 75 cents I mean I think we get $1.25 per hour for retirement Tim is saying it will go to $2. Medical not so much the monthly payments I actually would be willing to pay more for a good plan I hear horror stories about yours usually from someone emotional so it could be B.S. honestly in the end I don't think I'll have much of a choice. They will probably come back with something acceptable but could they have done better if they stayed the course.I personally don't think we should give up any jobs in this environment like Customer service did (BSO).

They're telling you BS. Any Doctor I've gone to has told me that we have some of the best medical out there.

As for losing job functions of course I agree with you. I just don't see us staring at anything like that when it's on our desks.

And yea they lost their BSO which really unfortunately wasn't a ton of jobs anyway but on the LAA side they brought in all the Red Coats which is a ton of jobs. Yea right now they're called CARS and only top out at $20.00 or something. But having them in House and under contract gives the Union the ability to try and raise the bar for that work in the future. Something they wouldn't have outside the bargaining unit.

Personally I want to see our TWU Envoy guys brought in to that fold as well. We'll see where that goes maybe soon enough?

I agree with W. When I compare our medical to many others, we really do have a pretty decent plan. I know, there are better plans than ours, but as a whole...I can live with it. I still think (IMO only) that Catering and Cargo would be areas AA would like to outsource. I have asked and been told it has not been discussed. Other jobs such as bagrooms, bag transfers, and encoding could be on a future list.
We will see how it plays out. Didn't they resume negotiations this past week (16th)?

And why is Tim no longer around (here)?

No way, the Envoy people would only dilute our tea. Do you think the company would just add millions to their costs without weakening the main brew? Come on Weez where does a 50 something Irish guy from NY get this socialist sentiment from?

Again I said it was from someone emotional so I took it with a grain of salt. I've actually heard people ***** about their medical costs in the break room "this sucks that sucks" only to find out they went out of network ...so...

Tim is floating around all over Facebook. Maybe it's too quiet here for him now that you can't see the amount of readers anymore?

The items you mentioned are basically called core work functions. On the TWU side I just really don't see any work that would really be economically viable for the new AA to want to try and go after? As a matter of fact even Cabin cleaning should be brought back in House and under AA's direct control again. (Note it is under Maintenance now though)

On Catering the whispers are problems with the vendors? I'd like to see fueling brought back in House as well?

I'm just past the mindset that jobs have to be given up or not recaptured when the Airlines now have the financial ability to bring them back in and under our own control without being under all these contracts to separate vendors.

Off the top of my head here in MIA we have Eulen, Swissport, Worldwide and Sky chef.

Tim doesn't come around because he criticizes the Weez's work ethic and that ain't right

You guys do some commuter work don't you? Why not us too? At the very least in Hubs.

Everyone wants to keep their own Doctor. I don't care what finger is going up to check my prostate as long as it's not too long or cold.

Incorrect. Read the UAL agreement for Fleet on that. They do much of their commuter work.
So here at LGA mainline will work some Eagle and Envoy will work some. What odd even flight numbers? Come on Weez. So I'm going to lose express work ,my medical and my days off plus I had to switch to boxer briefs because your uniforms rub me the wrong way. But to me it's worth because after all these years I can say my job is secure, well at least more secure than it's been
