Yup and yup....keep drinking that kool-aid...i hear you get used to the taste after awhile...

With the right amount of minis added it doesnt taste that bad. 😉 Of course we wont remember what we're drinking to, but thats another story...

Um, do you think that Doug actually writes this? Yes the article is PR, but I am glad you are able to separate Jan from that. She really is an outstanding person.

I concur totally! I am a retired Eastie and had the good fortune to meet Jan and sit across from her on the new livery flight last august. She is a great gal and deserves the credit! Way to go JAN! :up:
 
It amazes me how company recognition of a good employee can be turned into such a downer! We should be celebrating her good fortune.

I've worked with Jan for the past 7 yrs she is a wonderful flight attendant ..and would go out of her way to do anything for anyone...Fly with her once..and you will understand why she was chosen ..and she will always remember your name...

Flight attendant of the Year...is that 2005 or 2006? The year ain't up buddy...who voted? Let me guess...

Her good futune? Does she get an added bonus to be a liaison? If she doesn't, she's ignorant. She's doing PR work, and even though she may love it...she should be compensated. This is a business; not charity work, "goood will" means compensating the f/a for her meetings with the customers and the company and her time spent.

Next issue...the article illustrates to me that Dougie and the West boys have alienated themselves from the East. THERE IS AN EAST OPERATION...DOUBLE THE F/AS. As US poster implied...there should have been an East f/a selected. There is an operation that is merging...show some "good will", Doog.

There are some damn good; NO GREAT employees from the East. Someone needs to shine the light over there.

Damned if you do, Damned if you don't. Recognition programs are always open to intense scrutiny no matter how hard the program attempts to be on the up and up. And if the company doesn't have a program "management doesn't care". Can anyone prove this selection wasn't on the up and up? If not...congratulate this person and move on. Geez.

However, you and managment are really clueless on the issues of the East. These folks are wounded and by skimming over, doesn't make it not so.

If you are really, sincerely interested in merging
culture, would you mind taking a notice over on the EAST!

Excuse some of us for asking...or would it be better to start another bias damn poll...
 
Agreed, Eric. Also ,if somebody WANTS to go above and beyond to help this company survive, and does it without seeking additional compensation, that does not make the person ignorant.

We are in the middle of a merger. It takes time. Contracts are not merged overnight, nor are huge companies.

Gee Pit, only one person can be selected. If it was an Eastie then the Westies would have been upset. Like I said...damned if you do and damned if you don't. Just because one award was given to a West F/A does this constitute that the East is being overlooked? I can tell you from where I'm sitting that the East has more influence than the West in many areas. So please stop the finger pointing and look at the big picture, which by the way, seems to be a little murky for you now that you've left the company. Bias Poll? LMAO...damned if you do and damned if you don't. I take extreme care to not create a biased poll, but forgive me if I'm human. Just for you I'm gonna create one right now.

It is interesting that you refuse to answer any questions about your responsibility like: did you follow up? Was it only a complaint? Did you give a suggestion? How long ago was this?....

I don't dring the coolaid, but I:

1. trust people before I blast them
2. don't worry about the small stuff, like returning an email
3. take responsibility and follow up again
4. believe in good over bad
5. but when people like you show your colors like you have i.e. clearly you never followed up on the email, you hold the wrong people accountable, you make something huge out of something so small (a not returned email) and try to drag all of us down to your level.

Well, I won't go there. I know that Doug is doing his absolute best, and may make mistakes and I do not beleive that Doug should be held accountable for a mistake/choice on Travis' behalf.

Grow up or get out.

So, I'll ask again...is this for 2005 or 2006??
