Kentucky Derby and UA 232

Apparantly the trainer of Barbaro, the Kentucky Derby winning horse from this weekend, was a survivor of UA 232. Thought that was pretty neat and interesting.

Apparantly the trainer of Barbaro, the Kentucky Derby winning horse from this weekend, was a survivor of UA 232. Thought that was pretty neat and interesting.

Not only a survivor but a hero. He guided two youngsters out of the wreckage at great risk to himself. Now grown, the rescued kids were at the Derby. Certainly a feel good story. The current issue of Sports Illustrated has an excellent article about the incident.

A hero. IMO a hero is someone who puts their life on the line for someone else, with no regard for themselves. He saved people without considering his own peril. A truly good person. just my thoughts........
