As a Nebraskan I can tell you that we don't want it here. You know how gun lovers say "from my cold, dead hands"? Yeah, something like that. Over our dead, oil-spilled bodies

I agree completely, the needs of the many property owners in Nebraska outweigh the needs of the few foreign governments interested in purchasing the foreign oil piped though. Not to mention the many, many more who will be affected by the burning of additional noxious materials into the atmosphere.
 
Oh, you didn't know? Yep, it is foreign oil (from Canada, but foreign nonetheless) being piped to the Gulf to be refined and then sold on the foreign market, consumed primarily by Latin America, China, and other developing economies. Money goes to TransCanada. Jobs and benefit to USA? Nil. Try selling THAT to the farmers, property owners and land-dwellers of the great state of Nebraska.
 
And here I thought conservatives were supposed to be champions of property rights.
