APFA had agreed to the FAR minimum rest. The agreement had been though 8 hours behind the door. AA has since revised its interpretation to say, it will be 8 hours free of duty. So 8 hours and 30 minutes for international or 8 hours and 15 minutes for domestic, You must be back on board the A/C for departure. The amount of sleep you get will depend on how fast the driver is to the hotel. How fast you undress and get in to bed. How much time you need to get ready as well as the drive time back to the airport. So some of these layovers you will be lucky if you get six hours of sleep.

Since 86. I am surprised that they went back on there word do blatantly. AA plays rough and dirty but they usually wait for a grievance to try and back track. Must be some new players in the mix at CP5.
