My representative is a democrat, but you likely have never heard of her since she spends her time in DC working for her district and not trying to make a national name for herself. Yep....when AOC is up for reelection, I hope she loses. Of course, Republicans, who hate fighting FOR anything....they only disparage anything they didn't think of...and they don't think of much....and they love to personalize. There are 535 representatives and Senators.. Right wing media focuses on AOC and "the squad", which leaves about 530 more votes that have to be cast. And Republicans would have to find a new boogey man to scare people with.

The part you are forgetting is "the squad" has other allies in the Democratic Party. They certainly didn't gather that level of influence on their own.

Maybe you did not vote for them but members of your party certainly support them and your fellow Democrats certainly voted for them.

The next biggest contributors were China (12 percent) and Japan (8.5 percent).

In case you were not paying attention we cover almost a 4th of the cost and the largest 3 competitors, one of which we have a strained relationship with (China) cover 42.5 percent of the cost.

That is out of 193 members.

Does it seem fair to you that 3 members out of 193 fund almost half of the UN and the United States by itself funds almost a fourth of it?
