beat you to it, why does it matter to you since no are not an employee, you are the first to post stuff like the winglets, but where was the offer post at???

well it looks like this will be the chance the iam has to change it's spots, but after their track record of getting the rank and file enraged enuff to stand up to the comapny, but alas they have not done it yet, they should have torn it up and thrown it back in their face and said her is our offer, you look it over and sign off!!!

The US Contract is LAST in the industry. DP says he will only pay market rate. That is EXACTLY what Alaska(AS) has in there contract. AS Pay is 13% above US pay. Anything less than this at DOS(date of signing) is unacceptable. I have sent an email to Frank Schifano Pres1976. Contact your rep, let them know what expect of them. YOU, are paying there salary.

Article 23 states in part:
“R. The Company’s pay philosophy is to pay all employee market based wages and desires to be consistent with
This philosophy for all employees. In a mutual desire to confirm our commitment, the Company and AMFA agree to open

Period of ten (10) days (or less).â€￾ (Emphasis added)

This is only what the company proposed. We new that was going to happen. Now it is time to see what the IAM is going to do. I personally do not like the fact that the company wants to put sups in lead spots with thier seniority with the company. Thats a nice one. Some sups do not have A&P's.
 
Well, it's hard to say if this is a draft document or what point the negotiations are currently at.
 
Hey guys - chill for a moment. You all know that no likes beating up on the IAM more than me, but you have to stop and take a deep breath for a second. This is a PROPOSAL from the company. No one has agreed to anything on either side. What you are reading is the companies wish list and nothing more. Wish in one hand and ***** in the other - you have all heard it before. Initial proposals are always laughable as is this one. Hell just go back and read ours that we gave the company. If they had agreed to that we would not have a job right now. So put away the rakes and pitch forks for now - there is no Frankenstien Monster to burn yet. This was just the first step in a long process. And I for one anticipate a long process. Be patient and show support of your three representitives. They will need it during this process.
 
As long as I feel they represent my views they will have my FULL support. I for one am planning for the contingency of a striking. I do not think it will happen but you had better start preparing, you never know.

By the way, my views are market rate at the LEAST or we should walk. Just my two cents.

I have been in the iam for 20 years so I speak from experience. The iam is only intrested in securing the future of the iam not it's membership. They will give up the store to keep dues payers. Oh you might get a few trinkets here and there but you will lose the things that matter most. The iam is just a business trying to survive. They talk tough but thats all it is.
I put some of the blame on the membership. The majority are cowards. They won't stand up for anything and just keep taking the beating. Welcome to the iam. The End
