What's new

Lets "put up...or SHUT UP" about the fiscal cliff, shall we !

LOL....this is good.

All possibilities.......never certainties...............all things to ponder.

Funny part is how you and several others foamed at the mouth over those posts.

That was the certainty.
It is great fun.

Do you watch doomsday Preppers? That is quality humor.

Most of those posts are from a 'hey what if' perspective....

Haven't watched it yet. I get from your slant they go overboard?

Again, hey what if?

Dude I know from RI is bigtime.......Sandy killed his neighborhood power and all. He helped out neighbors with ice, gas, hot showers, food and other things. They were quite glad he is a prepper. I didn't know he had an ice machine, but he stock piled ice before the storm hit. I don't know what his generator set up is but he was running a well pump when needed. He's big time on infowars too....LOL

You still have not refuted the original numbers of these latest data (as well as the government employment charts a few weeks ago).

As for being shot in the foot, how about all your WND Farah inspired conspiracies like the Birther, and all those under sampled polls you were trotting out back in October and November.

I will stand by my postings and admit when I am incorrect.

Let me know when you are ready to do that with the 2011 depression, Kenyan born President, Romney win, Ron Paul surprise at the convention, ....

I will stop there.

Still waiting on the incorrect part...............................

Anywho, I don't mind taking a hit in my wallet, while jumping off the cliff, as long as I can "Stick it to Da Man" ! Heard that from one of my liberal co-workers !

True that. But the right hears that these will be killing jobs from the likes of the voice of the common man, Rush Limbaugh that the rich will flee and jobs will be killed if the taxes are raised. Then for proof, they cite France. Black apparently bought it, hook, line and sinker.

People keep on talking about these boom times in the 40's, 50's, ect where tax rates were higher. But the world and the US has changed drasticly since then. Post WWII era the US was a major producer in good and services, fast forward to current today it's the exact opposite..the US is a importer of products and a shell of a producer it used to be. Businesses and jobs are leaving the US to countries like china/india and the US economy is tanking because of it. But hey I know "the solution is to tax the rich/businesses even more, that will keep them here in the US." Whatev..

Black...Let's say we cut the taxes on the rich to zero. Nothing. nada. Now....are you saying that they will build factories and pay Americans a wage that would allow the average middle class guy to buy a car or boat, or take a vacation, or any the of the other things like that? Or would we still be competing against countries where they pay $10 a day instead of $10 an hour? And if we are still going up against countries paying $10 a day, what will tax rates on the "rich" do to keep those jobs here?

Dude.....another HUGE consideration of those times was the value of the dollar.

They'd invest their money where the return looked worth it.
Like maybe green technologies if some were to the point of a solid return.

Really? How come we weren't creating manufacturing jobs here after the Bush tax cuts, that have been in effect for 11 years. Here's some news for you though Dell....even if the righ guys paid nothing in taxes, when you get down to the day to day operations, it costs less to have someone manufacture a product for $10 a day than it does for even a lowly $10 an hour.

I don't give a #### about green technologies...Bush pushed thru tax cuts in 2001 that were the lowest rates since we've had an income tax -and we just didn't see much growth in the manufacturing sector. Hell, if anything we've seen folks take profits and cower in the corner, worried about the day those tax cuts were set to expire. But we certainly haven't seen a big increase in manufacturing.

And you know something? I was really disappointed in Obama pusing all that green technology crap. I would much rather he spent that money in a Works Progress Administration to rebuild the infrastructure. So yeah..the green tech crap is bad. No argument there. But cutting taxes hasn't resulted in an increase in manufacting. That only works on the back of napkins over cocktails.

Notice what I said:

They'd invest their money where the return looked worth it.

And they will wherever that may be.

Hmmm...your compadre, Black, seems to think that if we'd just lower taxes on the "job creators" America would once again become a manufacturing giant.

Taxes are part of the equation but so is the fact that American business is being held hostage with that clown you elected and his regulation, policies and vision.

How is American business being "held hostage" by Obama?

Looks like the Grovertarians are holding tax cuts hostage to me.

Does taking your ball and going home mean you win?

You know the Federal Government is to big every time you look at your pay stub and take note that the Federal Government has confiscated a percentage of your wages via the Immoral Federal Income Tax.

If the Federal Government had a non nonintervention foreign policy and stuck to it's legitimate role of preservation of Liberty then there would be no cliff.

Welcome to the left sparrow. Had we not invaded Iraq, we wouldn't have spent trillions we didn't have because of the ONLY war where we cut taxes during wartime. Why did Obama get stuck with this?
