I was in MKE before the strike.
Nope, Kev. Moved to CVG for my new job with Comair last December. Haven't had much rain down here lately - plus the temps have been in the 90's for 3+ weeks... 😎
Back to the topic...
I wonder if PTO has thought of applying for one of those mgmt. positions. Remember how he would always complain about how things should be run while he was scabbing at NW? Well, here's a chance for him to make a difference at NW!![]()
Good catch on the "body language" Kev. Did anyone happen to notice that also on the Today show interview? Was watching the CAL CEO with Matt Laur CAL, relaxed vs. Dougie on the edge of his seat...."FWIW, he spent most of his time checking out his Blackberry...very little interaction with the station personnel (which kind of misses the point of a station visit, right?).
Why...it requires too much thinking... his poor brain might explode.I wonder if PTO has thought of applying for one of those mgmt. positions. My station did not have a manager (he was in another city). The Leads ran the station and did most of everything listed in the job description that they now list as manager.Very interesting...one of the positions is in MKE.
I was in MKE before the strike. I've often wondered what happened to the manager that they already had there, and the 1982 SCAB (Paul Janssen) that jumped into mgmt. there 1 month before our strike. Are they still there, and this position is meant to supplement them? Or is this position being offered with the intent of replacing one/both of them with a lower paid person?
Anyway, I bet the scab mechanics at NW are falling all over themselves submitting their resumes to HR for these management positions...
TSA just caught him boarding a plane last week without going through security (isnt that illegal?). I hope at least they got him cheap.
Looks like NWA is now hiring Managers at all the stations that used to have line mx. One of these used to be my job as a Crew Chief. Now they will be called managers. No doubt they will be overseeing the swissport or (insert contractor name here) scabs. <_<

Q: Why would anyone with even a minimal amount of self esteem want to seek employment at NW?
Anytime technical skills are a vital link to providing service it's best to administrate quality assurance from in house. The process of using a company liason in conjunction with a vendor cannot be a good process at this level of support.
I'm suggesting that when lives are at stake (and on flights they are) quality maintainence should be the first priority.
