Of course, we already knew this even while the TWU Intl Spin Machine was ramrodding the Yes Vote.

A miscalculation to be sure; or Woops!

THIS GUY NEEDS TO TAKE A 75 PERCENT PAYCUT AND PAY FOR HIS MEDICAL

He is so out of touch its pathetic

It was pretty dumb to put the strike authorization in there without even a nod from the boys at the NMB. I really think that should have been its own vote anyway. It is a big enough issue to deserve its own.

As usual Little will soon be backed into BLUFF corner with no escape.

My understanding is that not all of the locals had taken a strike vote, therefore the NMB would not consider releasing us from mediation. Thus the language included in the no vote.

I could be wrong but I thought this same or similar language has been on previous ballots. Can anyone verify?

The point, to me, is that you have to create a situation under which both parties realize that a negotiated answer is preferrable to one created through disruption of the business.

The TWU, by running from the strike option they included in dramatic fashion in the TA vote, has given the company the leverage going forward by basically stating that they are not ready and are unwilling to disrupt the business. Little gave away the only option available to labor prior to renegotiating the terms of a deal 66% of the membership refused based on the option presented by the TWU of take the deal or take the strike.

This is why the TWU must be replaced as the bargaining agent for M&R at AA. Littles' comments are the same as those made by Conley, and for which, Conley was removed.

Expect bankruptcy to be the next TWU earmark. BK! BK! BK! After the TWU uses fear tactics and feel they have enough people duped, Little will intervene and exercise his option to invoke an agreement on behalf of the members best interests regardless of the vote. This is how the TWU operates. Remember this thread.

I agree that some will try and use BK as a means to spead fear, some have been using it all along, such as Don V and MIA, but I dont think that the International will impose a rejected agreement on us. That would be unprecidented, back in 2003 we were duped into ratifying the concessions, then promised a revote, which was later denied. Wrong, but different than simply imposing an agreement on workers that have seen their pay nearly halved and their ranks thinned by over a third by a company that has on average increased their revenue since the BK scare by $4billion/year.
