Chick Kavros is still alive, he is the man that organized the IAM at All American Airways, and negotiated up until 95 at what became US, he was on the 1114 committee in bankruptcy part 2.
Was he "old school"?

Josh, it gets really old having to scroll through your trash to read  a comment. Your pathetic infatuation with 700 and always having to "one up" him is troubling. Do you not have somewhere to post where someone will give a crap and consider it relevant!

So it took 23 days for the Grand Poobha to collect his thoughts and this is the best he could do?

I hate to say it, but I'm not encouraged about our future, and I'm always a glass half full guy.

Not an attack on him he just can't let go of the past and move on. He is no longer at USAIR, the bankruptcy was long ago, USAIR and the IAM when he was there is no more.

Would have been less typing to just answer the question or provide a link. Again, what are you looking for as far as a topped out wage?

By the way, we are going into 2014, so enough of what happened in 2004.  Didnt you guys agree to concessions in 2002 just prior to US's first BK filing? UAL and Delta both went BK , came out after you and they both are better paid than either of us.  Either way the fact is you agreed to deals that denied you the section 6 process for 14 years.

I'm in favor of supporting you guys but I dont think its too much to ask what exactly are we supporting?

And like I tell you everytime you bring up how bad we did at AA I dont make excuses for what we gave up, I voted against all of it, but at least we finally got rid of Little and his team. You are still making excuses, in fact your only excuse is we did worse. Thats one of the reasons why I was against this merger and would have rather seen us merge with anyone but US, taking the two most submissive groups and mergeing them into a super carrier isnt good for the profession as it will drive down wages.

Will the deal you are asking for have the effect of driving our wage after the mid term wage adjustment below what Delta currently pays or above what Delta currently pays?
Josh

I agree, 3-1/2 weeks for TWU to respond……and that is it????????? and we are the ones being penalized because the NMB is withholding their decision?!?!?!?!? wtf?????????
I too am a glass half full type, and for 24 yrs i have tried to keep this place, AA, from dragging me down…………………………But they, and TWU, continually find new ways to beat you down!!!!!!!

The TWU and the IAM have mastered the art of the excuse. Always an excuse or rationalization for their failure. When was the last time the TWU or the IAM under-promised and over-delivered at pmAA or pmUS?

So josh when did you ever work in the airline industry

Or be in an airline union?

And I worked the raid last year so I am relevant unlike you.

Thinking the company is laughing all the way to the bank...!!  The company came out with the 4% announcement on the 23 December...its now the 14 January....what is that letter going to accomplish?  Pilots offered retro pay if they vote in their contract....we have a POS contract forced down our throats with not even the talk of Retro....

As for the "majority" of employees getting the 4% as they claim, someone needs to crunch the numbers....take away the ramp, maintenance&related, pilots and customer service and explain how they come up with "majority"?

If my memory serves me correct, wasn't the 4% a "promise" by DP to get the unions to by into this merger?

4.3%

There was a 4.3% to get the TWU to back the merger by DP. The 4% announced by DP in December 2014 was based off the new AA's better than expected profitability.

The TWU is still having internal struggles. It is no secret that many TWU officers have spoken up against the Association. Time for the Int'l to lead.
